Wondering if the autumn flowers were in full bloom?
I just had to find out, so yesterday, October 11, 2026,
I took a trip to Cheorwon's Goseokjeong Flower Garden.
And to give you the bottom line first:
It's absolutely at its peak right now!
It looks like the vibrant display will last through next week,
so make sure to visit this upcoming weekend.
Cheorwon Goseokjeong Flower Garden

A vast field is completely filled with colorful autumn flowers,
offering a picturesque view no matter which way you turn.
What makes Goseokjeong Flower Garden particularly charming
is the sheer variety of fall blooms you can see in one place:
from Celosia (candle cockscomb) and Cosmos to Globe Amaranth and Pink Muhly.
If you're looking for an amazing place to visit in Cheorwon this October,
now is absolutely the perfect time!

Along with the bloom status from my personal visit on October 11, 2026,
I'll share essential information like admission fees, parking tips, and details about the barrel train,
all helpful things to know before you go.
📍Goseokjeong Flower Garden 2026 Operating Information

▪️Operating Hours: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM
▪️Last Ticket Sale: 6:00 PM

▪️Parking: Available in event area parking lots

Goseokjeong Flower Garden is Cheorwon's premier flower attraction,
open during both spring and fall seasons.
The fall opening for 2026 is scheduled until October 31st,
but do keep in mind that the closing date can change depending on when the flowers begin to fade.
While there's ample parking, getting into the lots on weekends can be a challenge.
Instead of arriving early, I recommend having lunch first and aiming for around 3 or 4 PM,
when it tends to be a bit less crowded.
Even on weekdays, there are many cars, but you won't typically have to queue for parking.
Current Bloom Status

Of course, the biggest question on my mind was the current state of the autumn blooms.
Having visited personally on October 11, 2026, I can confirm that it's a truly beautiful time to go.
The vast flower fields are bursting with vibrant, colorful blooms, completely at their peak.
Most of what I saw were Celosia (candle cockscomb) and Globe Amaranth,
and Gaura was also in full swing. However, Pink Muhly and Eulalia (pampas grass) aren't quite ready yet.

I never realized Celosia could be so stunning!
These "candle cockscomb" varieties stood tall like flickering flames, their colors incredibly vivid and beautiful.
The scenery here truly rivals even the famous flower fields of Biei and Furano in Hokkaido.

What's more, the sheer scale of the flower garden is incredible.
You can snap photos in one area, turn around, and find yourself in a completely different, equally captivating floral landscape.
My husband even remarked that the admission fee was absolutely worth it for such a magnificent flower viewing experience!
Goseokjeong Flower Garden Admission Fees

Here are the 2026 admission fees for Goseokjeong Flower Garden:
▪️Adults (19+): ~$7
▪️Children/Youth (7-18): ~$3
▪️Cheorwon Residents: Free (with valid ID)
A fantastic perk is that Goseokjeong Flower Garden gives you 50% of your admission fee back as a Cheorwon Love Gift Certificate!
These gift certificates can be used at food stalls, local produce markets,
cafes, or restaurants within the flower garden area.
After enjoying the flowers, I used mine at a cozy cafe near the parking lot.

There's also a charming barrel train operating, which requires a separate fee.
You can use your Cheorwon gift certificates for this too!
It seems to drop you off at popular photo zones, like the Little Prince and windmill areas,
allowing you to explore at your leisure.
Although it was quite popular and I didn't ride it this time,
I think it would be a great way to get an initial overview of the garden
and then revisit your favorite spots on foot.
Final Tips for Your Visit

Goseokjeong Flower Garden spans an impressive area of approximately 150,000 square meters,
which is about 37 acres! It's a truly massive flower field.
Given its considerable size,
it's a good idea to allocate plenty of time to explore it all.
The sun can still be quite strong, even in autumn,
so be sure to grab one of the colorful umbrellas available at the entrance.
They'll not only shield you from the sun but also make for fun photo props!

One more important thing to note is that Goseokjeong Flower Garden
and the Goseokjeong Tourist Area are two separate locations.
When using your navigation system, make sure to input 'Goseokjeong Flower Garden' precisely to reach the correct destination.
