Cheongju to Nagoya Flight Prices 2026: Winter Round Trip Guide
Dreaming of a snowy Nagoya getaway? Get the inside scoop on Cheongju to Nagoya flight prices for winter 2026-2027, plus a budget breakdown and must-see Shirakawago tour details.
As the weather starts to get crisp, Nagoya once again comes to mind as a perfect winter escape.
Nagoya has been popping up more frequently lately, and for those of us conveniently located near Cheongju Airport, the direct flights are a huge plus!

Earlier this year, I traveled from Cheongju to Nagoya, and I managed to book a round-trip flight for just ~$95 per person.
My entire 3-night, 4-day trip, including hotel, tours, and food, came out to around ~$584 per person.
Naturally, I wondered if I could snag similar flight prices for this upcoming winter. So, I did some early research, and to my surprise, there was quite a price difference.
It seems Nagoya has become much more popular recently!
So, how much should you expect to pay if you book your winter Cheongju to Nagoya flights in advance?
And what’s a reasonable price to aim for?
Cheongju to Nagoya Flight Prices
For winter 2026-2027 travel, I looked into flight prices from December 2026 through February 2027.

In early December, some flights were still available for around ~$219.

However, as the winter peak season kicks off in late December, prices definitely climbed, ranging from the mid-$200s to the mid-$300s.

Early January and mid-February also showed most flights in the ~$219 to ~$292 range.
If you're set on a true winter getaway, January and February are great, but if you want to save a bit, aiming for early December could be a smart move.
Based on my research today, I'd consider booking a winter peak season flight from Cheongju to Nagoya if it's around ~$255.

While I snagged a flight for ~$95 per person earlier this year, it seems unlikely prices will drop to that range again soon.
Flight prices typically fluctuate based on remaining seats and demand as the departure date approaches, especially during peak season.
So, even if you can't secure the absolute lowest price, booking in advance for peak season is a good way to avoid paying the highest fares!

Actual 3-Night, 4-Day Nagoya Trip Expenses
Excluding the flights, my non-flight expenses for 3 nights and 4 days in Nagoya were approximately ~$620.
Vessel Inn Sakae 3 nights | ~$241 |
Shirakawago Bus Tour | ~$50 per person |
eSIM, Travel Insurance | ~$15 |
Local Expenses (food, transport) | ~$314 |
Total per person | ~$620 |
Reviewing my expenses now, I noticed that while Cheongju to Nagoya flight prices have gone up,
the Vessel Inn Sakae hotel, where I stayed, is actually cheaper now than when I booked it!

Its location, just a 1-minute walk from Sakae Station, is truly unbeatable, making it a top recommendation.
This hotel is popular with international travelers and has a delicious breakfast, so rooms fill up fast during peak season!

Shirakawago: Nagoya's Nearby Fairytale Village
If you're planning a 3-night, 4-day trip to Nagoya, I personally highly recommend visiting Shirakawago. Especially if you're traveling to Nagoya in winter!
In fact, Shirakawago was the very reason I embarked on my first Nagoya trip!

In winter, its snow-covered landscape is truly enchanting, earning it the nickname "Santa's Village."
While it can be a bit tricky to reach by public transport, a bus tour makes for a convenient day trip.
It's an all-day affair, running from morning until evening, but it's absolutely worth it. Don't hesitate – just go!
The tour I took, which runs during the December-February peak season, is currently available for a lower price than what I paid: ~$47 per person.
