A Peaceful Escape: Location of Cave Ryokan Hotel Daejeon
It's incredibly accessible, located just a 5-minute drive from Oryong Station in Daejeon.
Plus, with a dedicated parking lot on-site,
it's super convenient if you're traveling by car.
Unlike busier areas like Daeheung-dong or Jungang-ro,
it's tucked away in a quiet neighborhood,
making it the perfect peaceful setting for a great night's sleep!
Cozy Japanese Ryokan Vibes
Cave Ryokan Hotel is designed as a retreat,
centered around a unique "cave" concept that minimizes city lights
to help you wind down and reconnect with your senses.
I stayed in the "Plot A" room,
and the moment I stepped inside, the serene ryokan atmosphere completely won me over.
Along with the incredibly cozy bedding,
there was a traditional low table and a tea set,
perfect for enjoying a warm cup of tea and relaxing.
(Tip: The electric kettle is tucked away in the drawer under the vanity.)
There was also a vanity mirror equipped with multi-colored LED lights.
I had so much fun switching through the colors
and snapping some aesthetic photos! haha.
You can easily stream Netflix,
and the Wi-Fi was fast and seamless.
With a singing bowl and a Bluetooth speaker on hand,
the entire space felt designed for ultimate healing and relaxation.
Amenities & Room Condition
As you'd expect from a brand-new hotel, both the room and the bathroom were absolutely spotless.
The water pressure was amazing, and they provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash,
along with fluffy, fresh towels.
But what surprised me the most was the incredible selection of amenities!
They have the basics like toothbrushes and toothpaste,
but also cleansing foam, makeup remover, a shower towel, a razor, feminine wash,
cotton pads, toner, and even lotion!
You could literally show up empty-handed and be completely fine.
The hairdryer was a premium JMW one,
which has super strong airflow—it made drying my hair so quick and easy! 💨
Right next to the bed, there are outlets and a wireless charger,
plus a mini-fridge stocked with free bottled water in the room.
Personally, I absolutely loved the outdoor slippers they provided!
They were so convenient for quick trips to the convenience store or the lobby.
They also have a stone diffuser that fills the room with a lovely scent,
which made the cozy ryokan vibe feel even more authentic. :)
Self Check-In System + Luggage Storage
Cave Ryokan Hotel by Aneuk
is operated as a fully self-service hotel.
You can check in easily using the self-service kiosk,
which actually feels way more comfortable for fellow introverts
(calling all my MBTI 'I's out there!).
Just make sure to bring your ID with you!
On the 1st floor, you'll find a free coffee machine, a water purifier,
a microwave, and disposable utensils ready for use.
There was also a super thoughtful service tailored perfectly for travelers visiting Daejeon:
a dedicated fridge just for storing Sungsimdang's famous "Siru" cakes!
Being able to keep them safe and fresh
was such an incredibly sweet and practical touch.
They also offer luggage storage, making it a super convenient base
if you're planning a trip to Daejeon.
