Kolon Seacloud Hotel Review: Family Ocean View Stay
Looking for the perfect family stay in Busan? Discover why Kolon Seacloud Hotel in Haeundae offers the best ocean views and value for family travelers.

"Let's stay at the Kolon Seacloud again next time!"
Busan is amazing for sightseeing,
but you can't really skip out on a gorgeous ocean view
right outside your window, can you?
Our family spent 4 days in the
Deluxe Super Twin Room at Kolon Seacloud Hotel.
With two double beds, it was absolutely perfect
for a family of four to spread out and sleep comfortably,
and best of all, at half the price of a 5-star hotel,
it felt just like having our very own home
right in the heart of Haeundae.
The kids loved it, and we saved so much—
choosing this place was hands down the best decision of our Busan trip.

Location & Accessibility
The Kolon Seacloud Hotel is only
about a 5-minute walk from Haeundae Station,
making it super easy to walk with kids
and convenient to roll our suitcases.

The absolute best part?
Just cross one crosswalk, and you're right at Haeundae Beach!
In the morning, we'd hold the kids' hands
and head down to see the ocean,
and in the evening, we could take casual strolls
along the beach right outside our doorstep.

Inside the building, there's an Outback Steakhouse, restaurants, and an arcade.
Plus, there are two convenience stores right on the first floor,
which was incredibly handy for quick runs to grab
snacks for the kids or a cold beer.

Just behind the hotel is the Haeundae Traditional Market,
which has a lively night market vibe in the evening—
perfect for picking up some hotteok or quick late-night snacks.
Honestly, the location alone makes me
want to stay here again next time we visit Haeundae.
We were so satisfied.

Booking
Haeundae Seacloud Hotel offers four room views:
No View, City View, Half Ocean View, and Full Ocean View.
Naturally, the Full Ocean View feels much more
open and refreshing than the Half Ocean View,
with completely unobstructed vistas.

By the way, on Yeogi Eottae right now,
they are running a New Year's special where you can get a
free room upgrade to a Full Ocean View for the price of a Half Ocean View!

On top of that, if you download the domestic accommodation coupon pack
and stack it with payment partnership discounts,
you can book it for way cheaper than usual.

Generally, a night at Kolon Seacloud costs around
~$64+ on weekdays / ~$128+ on weekends.
I booked through Yeogi Eottae and got a room
for 4 people in the low ~$130s per night.

Review of the Deluxe Super Twin Ocean View Room (for a Family of 4)

Our family of four stayed in the
Deluxe Super Twin Ocean View Room.
The layout features two double beds, so
Worried about the kids rolling off the bed,
we pushed the beds together.

The bedding was incredibly cozy and soft
without that annoying rustling noise,
and even my husband, who is super picky about beds,
slept like a baby this time without a single complaint.

Best of all was the generous floor space.
Since we're traveling as a family with two kids,
our suitcases alone take up so much room.
But the room was spacious enough that even with our gear unpacked,
it never felt cramped at all.

Living up to its "ocean view" name,
the stunning Haeundae beach stretched out right outside our window.
In the morning, we got to watch the sunrise
with the kids while snuggling in bed.
"Mommy, the ocean is sparkling!"
Hearing those words made me so proud
of picking this place. Major mom win!

Among all the ocean view accommodations in Haeundae,
rooms that can comfortably fit a family of four
are actually harder to find than you'd think.
Especially the Deluxe Super Twin Ocean View rooms,
which tend to book up super fast on weekends and holidays.
If you've set your travel dates,
I highly recommend checking availability right away!

Family Travel Checkpoints
✔ 4 complimentary bottles of water in the fridge
✔ Towels and bottled water replenished daily
✔ Plenty of room for a family of four to move around comfortably
There is a sink, but tableware isn't provided,
and there's an extra charge if you want to rent utensils.
Just in case, I brought my own
cutlery, disposable plates, and dish soap.
For warming up baby food or making a quick late-night snack,
bringing a portable electric kettle is a lifesaver.
This is the portable folding pot I use.

You can boil ramen or warm up instant rice in it,
so I never leave home without it in my suitcase.
👍

The water pressure in the bathroom felt a bit on the weaker side,
but it wasn't a major issue for washing up the kids.

Honestly, A Few Downside Points
Since it's a budget-friendly option,
there were definitely a few drawbacks.
✔ Having to transfer elevators
✔ No tea table by the window despite the ocean view
✔ Dim lighting (making it hard to do much after the kids fell asleep)
✔ No in-room safe
✔ Thin walls (could hear sounds from the neighboring room)
If you are sensitive to noise,
I'd suggest packing a pair of earplugs.

Pros | Cons |
· 5-minute walk from Haeundae Station · Right in front of Haeundae Beach · Surrounded by convenience stores & restaurants · Clean bedding & spacious room size · Ocean view + sunrise views · Perfect for a family of four | · Thin walls · No window table, lighting could be better · No in-room safe · Tableware not provided · Must use 2 elevators to reach the room |
Kolon Seacloud Hotel turned out to be
an absolute hidden gem of a budget-friendly stay
in the Haeundae area.
While it doesn't have the luxury of a 5-star hotel,
considering the unbeatable location, spacious room, and price,
it was more than satisfying for a trip with two kids.
If you want to save on accommodation in Haeundae
and enjoy a relaxing trip close to the beach
with your little ones,
I highly recommend Kolon Seacloud Hotel
as a fantastic, budget-friendly Haeundae ocean view stay.
If we visit Haeundae again,
our family will most likely
choose this place all over again!
