Unlimited Refill Dining at Gilsu Sashimi

Traveling to Busan without trying fresh, authentic Korean-style raw fish (known locally as hoe) is like visiting Italy and skipping pasta. Gwangalli Beach is packed with dining options, but finding the perfect spot for an authentic, massive feast can be overwhelming. I recently visited Gilsu Sashimi Restaurant with my mom, enjoying an incredible multi-course meal overlooking the iconic Gwangandaegyo Bridge. Spoiler alert: the portions were so generous we could barely finish, and the seafood was phenomenally fresh.

Gilsu Sashimi is located on the 2nd floor of the Millennium Raw Fish Center, right across from Millak Waterfront Park. It is super close to Gwangalli Beach, making it perfect for a scenic walk before or after dinner. Thanks to its second-floor location, you get unobstructed views of the ocean and the bridge.

2. The Vibe: Gwangandaegyo Bridge Views

Stepping inside, the restaurant felt incredibly spacious. It features large group seating areas and several private dining rooms that can accommodate 10 to 30 guests. These private rooms make it an excellent choice for family gatherings, birthdays, or group celebrations.

The mix of traditional floor seating and Western-style tables lets you choose your comfort preference. But the real star is the view of Gwangandaegyo Bridge. During the day, you get a stunning blue ocean panorama, and at night, the bridge lights up for a romantic, lively Busan vibe. Savoring fresh sashimi while gazing at the illuminated bridge is the ultimate Busan travel experience.

4. The Unlimited Feast Review

When the dishes started rolling out, our jaws literally dropped. The phrase "the table is about to break" is no exaggeration here; every inch of the table was packed with delicious sides and fresh seafood. Even with two of us eating, we had to pace ourselves because of the sheer volume.

The main sashimi was served across two large platters. The thick-cut slices were incredibly springy and chewy, carrying that clean, naturally sweet flavor of premium fresh fish.

They also serve yubiki (parboiled fish skin/flesh), which let us compare different textures. It tastes amazing dipped in soy sauce with a touch of wasabi, or wrapped in aged kimchi with a dollop of savory ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste).

The seafood platter was loaded with live octopus, sea squirt, sea cucumber, abalone, and spoon worm. Everything tasted incredibly clean and fresh with that perfect ocean crunch. My mom absolutely loved it, which made me so glad I brought her here. It's a fantastic spot to treat your parents to a premium meal.

The feast doesn't stop there. The course includes abalone porridge, salmon sashimi, sizzling stone-pot rice (albap), cold raw fish soup, grilled fish, braised fish, beef tartare (yukhoe), crispy tempura, soy-marinated crab and shrimp, parboiled pufferfish skin salad, sweet corn cheese, shrimp gratin, and a spicy fish stew (maeuntang) to wrap things up. It’s a spread that caters to everyone, from young kids to grandparents.

With its gorgeous Gwangandaegyo Bridge view, endless course options, and hyper-fresh seafood, Gilsu Sashimi Restaurant is highly recommended for families or groups looking for the ultimate Busan dining experience.
