Following up on my last 'Good-Vibe Route' in Buyeo, here is Part 2!
To be honest, it's pretty similar, but with some exciting new spots added! haha
My friend, who I used to hang out with back in Buyeo, came down to visit, so we went exploring together!
It's amazing how many new places have quietly popped up here.
That's the real charm of the countryside—finding these hidden gems! haha
📍 Yiman Chongchong
A cafe opened in Gyuam by the legendary Korean singer Yang Hee-eun.
It used to be an old post office, beautifully renovated into a cafe.
From the outside, it looks quite small,
but once you step inside, it's incredibly spacious, clean, and open.
The kind of serene spot that just makes you want to sit down and read a book!
The space was divided into so many cozy, maze-like nooks!
Look at this lush green view—so incredibly refreshing!
Ordered a refreshing iced Americano.
It was around ~$3, which is super reasonable!
They even have books you can browse.
After cooling off here, we heard that the Buyeo National Museum had opened a dedicated hall just for the Gilt-Bronze Incense Burner,
so we headed straight over! Let's go!
📍 Buyeo National Museum
It had been a while, but I had to visit again to see the new Baekje Gilt-Bronze Incense Burner Exhibition Hall.
Wow, I've never seen a museum this crowded before!
The parking lot was completely full. My friend and I kept saying how wild it was! lol
Usually, the entrance is completely empty...
Seriously, the museum was absolutely buzzing.
The Gilt-Bronze Incense Burner has its own dedicated gallery on the 3rd floor.
It was breathtaking before, but seeing it showcased alone in this massive, dedicated space made it look even more magnificent.
They even had a subtle incense aroma drifting through...
Anyway, the Gilt-Bronze Incense Burner is cooler than ever!!
But wait, look at this view!
The view from the outdoor seating area was absolutely stunning.
It really reminded me of how open Buyeo is—there are absolutely no high-rise buildings.
After a quick peek at the other galleries, we headed over to Happil!!
📍 Haepil Bookstore
Since my friend hadn't arrived yet, we decided to check it out together.
Located on the second floor right across from the Jeonglimsa Temple Site, this is a super cozy workshop and bookstore with a wonderful vibe.
Haepil is as peaceful and charming as ever! My friend and I had a great time browsing through all the different books.
I'm so curious about books like this—there's even one for "zoning out to relics"!
Every time I visit, it brings so much peace of mind.
You absolutely have to visit Haepil when you're in town!
📍 Buyeo Dessert Shop
I noticed this new spot while walking by, so I just had to pop in! haha
It's a cozy cafe that sells desserts made with local Buyeo chestnuts.
The prices were super reasonable, and my friend treated me to a Buyeo chestnut madeleine.
The chestnut cream was incredibly rich and absolutely delicious!
It definitely made me curious about all their other sweet treats.
My friend and I were wondering where to go next...
But since we didn't have a specific destination, we just went to another cafe lol.
This time, we decided to check out a new place called Cafe Dancheong.
📍 Cafe Dancheong
This cafe offers a great view of Busosanseong Fortress, and they had so many unique drinks on the menu!
What did I order again?
I think it was the "Red Lemon"?
Anyway, I got a lemon slushie infused with hibiscus.
It was so refreshing and hit the spot perfectly in the heat!
My friend ordered the tomato sorbet.
The bowl it came in was absolutely gorgeous.
After resting here for a bit, we realized it was too early for dinner, so we decided to visit Goransa Temple inside the nearby Busosanseong Fortress.
Busosanseong Fortress is always so peaceful and serene.
We started walking at 5:00 PM and practically speed-walked to reach Goransa Temple in just 30 minutes!
We rushed so fast that we were completely drenched in sweat, haha!
We took a refreshing sip of the famous "youth-restoring" spring water at Goransa Temple...
...and quickly headed back! Let's go!
The park closes at 6:00 PM, so we had to speed-walk all over again to make it out in time, lol!
Hahaha!
📍 Gungnam Chueotang
Oh, the memories! It's been so long since I last visited Gungnam Chueotang.
They are famous for their spicy stir-fried octopus! It has this amazing smoky flavor...
...and when you mix it with rice, it’s absolute heaven!
All the side dishes are delicious, too. Ah, Buyeo seriously has way too many amazing places to eat!
📍 A Walk at Gungnamji Pond
What better way to wrap up a meal than a walk around Gungnamji, right?
So incredibly peaceful...
Look, there are three baby ducklings! 🥺
I feel like I've been seeing so many baby ducks lately.
After wrapping up our little stroll,
we sat on the swinging bench to just zone out and relax.
There’s someone who plays the ocarina live here.
They were here years ago, and they're still playing today!
Even though it's live, the melody is so incredibly clear and crisp, it sounds almost like a studio recording.
They played continuously without a single break—the passion was truly inspiring.
As the sun starts to set~~
The sunset looked like it was going to be absolutely spectacular tonight,
so we quickly headed over to Gudeurae Ferry Dock.
Wow, this is unreal.

Hands down the best sunset spot in Buyeo... a true golden hour paradise!
The sunset was incredibly vibrant when I visited a couple of days ago,
but today it's even redder and just completely mind-blowing.
Seriously, is there anywhere else on Earth with a sunset this gorgeous?
As the minutes ticked by, the sky burned an even deeper red.
After watching this absolutely breathtaking sunset,
that's a wrap on today's Buyeo adventure!
An Americano at Iman Chongchong is quite affordable at ~$3. The cafe is a renovated old post office, offering a spacious and quiet atmosphere where you can relax and read a book.
The Baekje Gilt-bronze Incense Burner Exhibition Hall is located in an independent exhibition room on the 3rd floor of the Buyeo National Museum. The exhibition space has been expanded, and it features a subtle scent of incense inside.
Goransa Temple closes at 6:00 PM, so you must finish your visit before then. It takes about 30 minutes at a brisk pace from the entrance of Busosanseong Fortress.
Haepil Bookstore is a quiet workshop and bookstore. You can browse a variety of books, including those with unique themes like "spacing out while looking at relics" (Yumul-meong).
At Gungnamji Pond, you can hear a live ocarina performance. The clear playing continues without a break, sounding almost as if a recording is playing.
