💡 Room Summary
✔ A charming hanok accommodation with a beautiful garden
✔ Rooms are very clean
✔ Good accessibility to major Buyeo tourist attractions
✔ The owner is very kind
[Daytime Exterior]

This is the exterior of Wolhamji Hanok, a Buyeo Hanok Pension that beautifully embodies traditional Korean aesthetics.

The yard was wider than I expected, and strolling around gave me a wonderful feeling of healing,
and with beautiful bonsai trees planted everywhere, I could feel the owner's care and dedication.
There were also charming pine trees planted throughout the yard.
They harmonized perfectly with the hanok, creating an even more picturesque atmosphere.

And while they aren't the pension's pets, many stray cats also came to visit, which was adorable.
[Nighttime Exterior]

As the sun set and the lights came on one by one,
Wolhamji Hanok revealed a completely different ambiance from the daytime.

I was worried about the dark paths at night, as the Buyeo Hanok pensions are clustered in a somewhat secluded area,
but the ground lights shone brightly and closely, making it perfect for a night stroll after dinner.

Our feline guests even visited at night! They were so cute.
[BBQ Area]

The barbecue area, where you can light a fire, was also spacious,
making it look perfect for families.
As mentioned earlier, there's an additional barbecue usage fee of ~$22,
but since all the tools are provided, it felt quite affordable.
[Inside the Room]

It was also possible to leave our luggage before the official check-in time.
The person in the photo is actually the owner!
They were in the middle of cleaning, but when we called, they opened the door right away.

The room we stayed in that day was Room 102.
On the second floor, there was a room for four people, and on the first floor, there was another room for two directly opposite Room 102.

Stepping inside, we were greeted by the cool, traditional hanok floor, even before turning on the air conditioning.
A TV, refrigerator, and clothes rack immediately caught our eye.
We also saw the bathroom door, which exuded a strong hanok vibe, and a tidy sink.

Since it's an 'ondol' room (Korean heated floor), there wasn't a separate bed; instead, we laid out bedding on the floor.
Honestly, I was a bit apprehensive because I didn't expect the bedding at a hanok pension to be spotlessly clean,
but seeing it in person, the bedding was extremely clean and felt great to the touch, so I could use it with peace of mind.

This is how it looked when laid out on the floor, and it was even better than I expected.
The bedding felt so good that my back didn't hurt, and I had a wonderfully deep sleep.
The pillows weren't too high either, which was a plus.

Inside the fridge, besides the two complimentary bottles of water, we were touched to find
plums personally grown by the owner.
They were sweet and perfectly ripe plums, so after showering off following our day's activities, eating them was pure bliss!
Perhaps because there were two of us, they generously provided a good amount.

The bathroom was located next to the sink,
which was convenient for placing cosmetics or hair tools on the sink counter.

Amenities were also thoughtfully prepared.
Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were standard, and it was convenient to have toothbrushes, shower towels, and disposable toothpaste.

A cute leaf-shaped diffuser was placed above the toilet,
making the scent pleasant.
There wasn't a separate shower booth; the showerhead was next to the sink.
However, it was fine because there was a plastic cover to prevent water from splashing onto the wooden door.
The water pressure was also good, so there was no inconvenience when showering with hot water.

The sink and its surroundings were also incredibly clean.

There were various cooking utensils available, so if you're using the barbecue,
it would be great to additionally cook ramen or other dishes.

Looking at the guide, they can even provide a rice cooker and wine glasses,
so if you're planning to cook full family meals, I recommend inquiring about them!
[Outlet Locations and Quantity]

Honestly, I had a preconception that a hanok pension would be less convenient than a regular hotel,
and that was largely due to concerns about the power outlet locations and quantity.
My friend and I both travel with laptops, so we constantly need to charge them,
and I was worried that if there weren't enough outlets, it would be inconvenient to use them.
However, in Wolhamji Hanok's rooms, outlets are conveniently located everywhere – on both walls, by the sink, and even in the bathroom,
which meant we could charge our devices and dry our hair simultaneously, which was fantastic!

And for me, a blogger who needs to post at least once a day,
there was even an invaluable table that I couldn't do without!
It was foldable, so it could be tucked away next to the refrigerator, which was super convenient.

Being a hanok pension in the countryside, I was a bit worried about bugs getting in,
but thankfully, no bugs entered during our stay.
Even if they had, there was a Homekeeper (bug spray) provided in the room,
so we would have been able to get rid of them safely!
