Boracay Right Now (feat. Weather)
Boracay, September Local Weather

Just like me, I'm sure the weather
is the number one thing you worry about before heading out.

Boracay's rainy season runs from June to October,
but when it comes to Southeast Asia, worrying about the weather
beforehand is usually pointless.
I think you just have to leave it to luck!

Contrary to what the current weather forecast says,
the rain here mostly falls late at night or in the early hours,
and by morning, it has already cleared up.

Based on my 7 days here, my take on Boracay in September is:
"It's actually not too hot, not too humid,
and honestly really pleasant weather!"

The sun is strong during the day,
but unlike the suffocating humidity
of Korean summers, it's not that muggy.
If you stay in the shade, it actually feels pretty nice.

In the evening, it cools down nicely—
much cooler than I expected, making it perfect for wandering around.

Under the direct sun, you definitely still feel that signature tropical heat,
creating a wonderfully balanced climate.

Boracay, September Outfit Tips

Boracay is a place where you can jump into the ocean at any moment,
so it's much easier if you wear your swimsuit under your clothes.
I found it way more practical to pack multiple swimsuits
rather than a lot of regular casual clothes.

If you're planning a trip to Boracay,
here's what I recommend packing!
Boracay Outfit & Packing Essentials |
Light, breezy clothes like t-shirts, tank tops, shorts, and sundresses |
Beachwear essentials: Swimwear, rash guards, and sandals (Pack plenty of swimwear options!) |
Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, pocket tissues, and wet wipes |
Just in case: The airplane cabin can get quite chilly, so bringing a cardigan or light long-sleeve shirt is a must! |
Philippines Voltage is 220V: Depending on your home country, you might not even need a separate travel adapter. |

Local Activity Price Guide in Boracay
Boracay Local Activities

At first, local sellers will throw out some pretty steep numbers.
They quoted me 1,800 Pesos for sunset paraw sailing
and a whopping 5,000 Pesos for Puka Beach!
But after some friendly bargaining, they gave us a much fairer 'local' rate.

Just a heads-up: currently, the waters at White Beach are beautifully calm,
while Puka Shell Beach and Ilig-Iligan Beach have much stronger waves.
Based on my experience:
You should be able to negotiate local tours
down to about 500 to 600 Pesos.
Activity / Tour Name | Duration | Price (Per Person) *Exchange rate is roughly ~$8 per 500 Pesos. |
Sunset Paraw Sailing WHITE BEACH | Approx. 30 mins | 500 Pesos |
Puka Beach Crystal Boat & Cave Snorkeling Tour PUKA BEACH | Approx. 1–1.5 hours | 600 Pesos |
Ilig-Iligan Beach Crystal Boat Snorkeling Tour ILIG ILIGAN BEACH | Approx. 1–1.5 hours | 600 Pesos |
E-trike (Tuk-tuk) Land Tour (An island-hopping tour by e-trike) LAND TOUR | Approx. 3–4 hours | 500 Pesos per hour (Flat rate per vehicle) |

Fingers crossed we get to witness that magical violet sky before the trip ends!
