Discovery Shores Boracay Review 2026: Station 1 Luxury

The last two days of our 6-night, 7-day trip were spent at

Discovery Shores Boracay, a luxury resort with a tranquil atmosphere,

located in Station 1.

Compared to Stations 2 and 3,

where you can enjoy even cleaner White Beach,

the accommodation fees here tend to be higher.

Despite that,

here are three reasons why I recommend this place!

Actually, 13 years ago,

I visited this resort on a couple's trip.

That experience was so satisfying

that I revisited it this time for a family trip.

From Discovery Shores' location, rooms, and pool, to White Beach,

I'll share a detailed review of the services I personally experienced.

Discovery Shores Boracay Location

Why We Chose Station 1

Boracay's main beach, White Beach, is divided into Station 1, 2, and 3.

Each section has a different atmosphere and distinct accommodation characteristics.

For this family trip,

we stayed in both Station 1 and Station 2,

but for the last two days, we wanted to fully relax at the resort only,

so we chose Discovery Shores Boracay, located in Station 1.

When we wanted to go to D'Mall in Station 2,

we used the complimentary shuttle service provided by the resort,

(you can tell them where you want to go anytime).

On the way back from D'Mall, it was difficult to match the shuttle schedule,

so we took a 'tuk-tuk' (tricycle) and the fare was around 100P.

(approximately 100P per station segment)

If quiet beaches and a relaxing atmosphere are more important to you

than D'Mall accessibility,

Station 1 will be a great fit.

The Junior Suite we stayed in

offers a pool view and is approximately 40-45㎡ (12-13.6 pyeong) in size.

Two 28-inch suitcases

couldn't fit side-by-side in the closet,

so we had to keep one on the floor.

One comfy main bed

And a fantastic sofa bed!

My 5th-grade child, who's 145cm tall,

fit perfectly on the sofa bed.

Our room was tidied up twice a day, both in the morning and the afternoon,

And here's a delightful touch: when we came back in the afternoon, we'd often find cute animal towel art

and even complimentary snacks waiting for us!

📌 And here's a crucial tip for anyone using Caticlan Airport:

You can hop on Discovery's very own private boat

for complimentary airport transfers (pickup or drop-off)!

Unfortunately, this time we arrived via Kalibo Airport,

so we sadly couldn't take advantage of this fantastic service.

However, 13 years ago, during our couple's getaway, we used Caticlan Airport for our return journey to Korea.

I vividly remember it was just the two of us on that private boat,

heading to the airport – what a memory!

Discovery's Inviting Pool

Boracay is world-renowned for its stunning White Beach, but for us,

because my daughter absolutely adores playing in the pool,

wherever we stay,

we tend to spend a significant amount of time splashing around in the pool.

What truly stood out and made a lasting impression was

the refreshing cold towel and snack service offered every afternoon.

As we were enjoying ourselves by the pool,

the attentive staff would circulate,

handing out those cool towels and tasty snacks.

While I've experienced countless hotel and resort pools,

this was my very first time encountering a service where staff actively walk around

to personally offer snacks. Talk about luxury!

What's more, there's a dedicated snack corner

where you can help yourself to complimentary treats!

We certainly took advantage, refilling our snacks more than twice!

Station 1: Our Private Slice of White Beach Paradise

Station 1 is wonderfully calm because there's hardly any touting or hawking,

making it significantly more serene than other sections of the beach.

In Stations 2 and 3,

you'll find countless people trying to entice you into various activities,

it's a much livelier (and louder) scene!

Right in front of Discovery Shores, the beach area is thoughtfully managed,

as hotel staff diligently oversee the resort's dedicated beach area,

ensuring you can enjoy the beach safely.

It's a huge plus!

Imagine: a private beach where you can simply unwind,

and truly enjoy a peaceful escape.

With fewer crowds, it means more space to play,

making it perfect for splashing around in the ocean.

I must admit, I'm usually quite apprehensive about open water,

so enjoying water activities alone in the sea is usually a big challenge for me.

But on this incredible day, I even dared to try paddleboarding for the very first time!

Pro Tip: Book Peak Season Stays WELL in Advance!

When it comes to booking your stay, timing is everything, especially here!

Generally, the period from November through May of the following year

is considered peak season, coinciding with Boracay's beautiful dry season.

Top resorts can get fully booked incredibly fast,

so make sure to secure your reservation well in advance!

Even within the same hotel, your final payment can vary greatly depending on the booking date, room type,

whether breakfast is included, and the specific terms for applying any discount coupons.

children aged 8 and above incur an additional charge, similar to adults.

Back then, I booked through Agoda because it was the cheapest, and

even comparing with the same conditions this time,

Agoda still offers the best price!
