One of the places you absolutely can't miss when shopping on a trip to Japan is
a liquor store.
While there are many liquor stores in Osaka, when I don't have price information,
I tend to visit Bic Camera first.
If you combine tax-free shopping with a discount coupon,
you can find quite a few products that are cheaper than at regular liquor stores,
and it's super convenient to compare liquor prices all at once,
making it easy to plan your route.
In this post,
I'll organize the prices for whiskey, sake, and fruit liqueurs I saw
at the Bic Camera Namba Store liquor section.
Bic Camera Discount Coupon
While prices drop just by getting tax exemption at Bic Camera,
you can buy things even cheaper if you apply a discount coupon too.
However, discount rates vary by item,
and alcoholic beverages are only eligible for a 3% discount.
Please note that *Dassai and Hakkaisan cannot be used* among alcoholic beverages,
and Apple products are also not eligible.

Bic Camera Namba Store
Hours: 10:00 AM ~ 10:00 PM / Tax-free available
When you travel to Osaka, Namba Station is definitely a place you'll visit.
It's just a 3-minute walk from Namba Station, so accessibility is excellent.

Bic Camera is worth visiting just for its liquor store,
but it's also a great place to combine with other shopping.
It was nice to browse electronics or household goods
and then naturally check out the liquor section as well.

The liquor store is on the second floor, so I took the escalator up.
Whenever I come to Japan, I also make sure to grab some energy drinks and hangover remedies,
so I took pictures of them for price comparison.
While getting tax exemption definitely makes things cheaper,
it's good to know in advance that tax-free items cannot be opened immediately.
Umenoyado Aragoshi

They also had the Umenoyado Aragoshi series,
which is currently famous for being both delicious and great value for money.
Lemon, apple, and peach flavors were displayed together,
and having tried the yuzu, apple, and peach flavors, I personally found
the apple to be the most delicious.
The prices are generally cheaper than domestic retail prices,
so I highly recommend them if you enjoy light fruit liqueurs.
Blended Whiskey

They also have popular whiskey brands like Ballantine's, Chivas Regal, and Johnnie Walker,
which are highly sought after in Korea.
It was great to see everything from the easily bought, popular lines to the premium selections
all in one place.
Royal Salute 21 Year Old was 16,800 yen,
Johnnie Walker Blue Label was 18,000 yen,
and Ballantine's 30 Year Old was 43,800 yen.
Compared to domestic retail prices,
Royal Salute 21 Year Old was a bit cheaper,
and Ballantine's 17 Year Old, Johnnie Walker Black, and Green Labels also
had lower prices than in Korea.

If you're buying Johnnie Walker Blue Label 750ml,
make sure to use this discount coupon!
Macallan, Glenmorangie

You can also find highly recognized single malt whiskies in Korea,
such as Macallan and Glenmorangie.
Macallan 12 Year Old was 13,500 yen, 15 Year Old was 26,500 yen,
18 Year Old was 61,800 yen,
and Macallan A Night on Earth was 20,900 yen.
Compared to domestic retail prices,
Macallan 12 Year Old was definitely cheaper to buy in Japan,
and A Night on Earth was also better to buy in Japan
It definitely offered some great perks!
Glenlivet, Glenfiddich, Talisker

Glenlivet, Glenfiddich, Talisker, and more,
you could also find popular single malt whiskies that are highly sought after by enthusiasts, even in Korea!
From accessible 10-year and 12-year expressions perfect for beginners,
all the way up to aged lines of 15-year, 18-year, and even 21-year and older, they had an impressive selection!
Especially familiar names like Glenlivet 12-year, Glenfiddich 12-year,
and Talisker 10-year are absolutely perfect for duty-free shopping to bring home as a special treat!
Balvenie, Kavalan

For those looking to elevate their collection, higher-end single malt whiskies like Balvenie and Kavalan
were also beautifully displayed in their own section.
These were more premium whiskies with a higher price point than your everyday buys,
making it a fantastic spot for anyone keen to compare and explore high-end options.
Suntory, Glenfiddich, Balvenie

They also had a fantastic selection of whiskies that are popular for quick, easy purchases, perfect for bringing home a souvenir!
Suntory Kakubin was duty-free at ¥1,491,
Glenfiddich 12-year was ¥4,346,
Glenfiddich 15-year was ¥6,528,
and Balvenie 12-year was ¥7,255.
Compared to domestic prices, Suntory Kakubin and Glenfiddich 12-year
definitely offered a clear advantage when bought in Japan,
and Glenfiddich 15-year and Balvenie 12-year were also
quite reasonably priced – a true win-win for savvy shoppers!
Brandy, Cognac

There was also a dedicated section for brandy and cognac.
Familiar brands like Hennessy, Rémy Martin, Camus, and Martell
were elegantly displayed, ranging from classic VSOP to luxurious XO grades,
offering a wide array for connoisseurs.
Miniature & Small-Volume Whiskies

In one charming corner of the liquor shop,
you could also discover delightful miniature bottles and small-volume whiskies.
If you're eager to sample a flavor before committing to a full-sized bottle,
these smaller products seem like a fantastic option to start with – perfect for adventurous tasters!
Dassai Sake

In the sake corner, the highly popular
Dassai line was beautifully displayed, a must-see for sake lovers!
Dassai products were neatly organized by volume,
though some had 'sold out' signs – a testament to their incredible popularity, so don't hesitate if you see what you like!
Availability of sold-out items can vary depending on when you visit,
so I recommend keeping this in mind and checking ahead if there's something specific you're after during your visit.
Gazan Sake (我山)

Gazan (我山) sake was also proudly on display.
They had Daiginjo and Junmai Daiginjo lines, along with convenient small-volume options.
Shochu, Sake, Fruit Wine

Inside the showcase, a diverse array of alcoholic beverages was beautifully displayed,
including soju, sake, and delightful fruit wines.
They also carried famous shochu brands from within Japan, such as Maoh, Sato, and Moriizo, offering a truly local taste experience worth exploring!
The Bic Camera Namba Store liquor shop
feels less like a specialized destination you'd seek out just for alcohol,
and more like a perfect, convenient stop to naturally include within your broader Osaka shopping itinerary.
With a fantastic and diverse selection spanning whiskies, brandies, sakes, and fruit wines,
plus many brands popular back home,
it was incredibly easy to compare prices with domestic options or other liquor shops – making your decision effortless and smart!
Its excellent accessibility, being only about a 3-minute walk from Namba Station,
means if you've been curious about Osaka liquor shops or Bic Camera's whisky prices,
I highly recommend stopping by while you're out shopping – you might just find your next favorite bottle!
Yes, alcoholic beverages are only eligible for a 3% discount, and discount coupons cannot be applied to Dassai and Hakkaisan. Please also note that discount coupons cannot be used for Apple products.
Macallan 12-year whisky is 13,500 JPY. According to an article, purchasing it in Japan is definitely cheaper compared to domestic selling prices.
The liquor shop at Bic Camera Namba Store is located on the 2nd floor. It's conveniently accessible, about a 3-minute walk from Namba Station.
Yes, there is a separate discount coupon available for purchasing Johnnie Walker Blue Label 750ml. This coupon is valid until May 31, 2026.
