An honest, self-funded review!
Hey there, fellow travelers!
You might be wondering, "Milk tea in Japan? Really?"
But trust me, Japan has a thriving milk tea scene, too! 😉
That said, the milk tea spot I'm about to introduce isn't Japanese style at all;
it's pure Taiwanese goodness! Haha!
I'm not usually one to splurge on drinks,
but Osaka in the summer...🥵🥵🥵
Staying hydrated is an absolute must!
Taiwanese milk tea is so popular here that even Gong Cha has locations popping up everywhere,
and you'll easily spot milk tea shops all over Dotonbori.
BENGONG'S TEA
Osaka has its share of famous chains like Heytea,
and I've tried quite a few,
but this place truly stands out as the best.
🚩Location

Hours of Operation
11:00 AM ~ 11:00 PM (Last Order 10:30 PM)
Just a 1-minute walk from Nagahoribashi Station, Exit 6 or 7.

You can't miss it – there's a large signboard right out front!
Atmosphere

This is a really tiny cafe.
There's only one small table,
and the seating is more like a waiting area for your order.
It's less a cafe and more of a grab-and-go spot, really.
Menu

The reason I love and recommend this place is because the drinks are delicious, the prices are reasonable,
and the menu is incredibly diverse! Haha!
If you've visited cafes in Japan, you know the menus can be quite limited.
In contrast, cafes back home often boast a huge variety, right?
In Japan, it often feels like you're getting the same old thing everywhere you go...
But here, I always spend ages deciding what to drink.
Though, I usually end up sticking to my usual favorite! 😉

My go-to order is the "Mango Pomelo Sago."
It's 700ml for ~$5, and it's definitely their BEST seller! Haha!
I actually tried mango sago here before Heytea or Chabaekdo arrived in Korea.
After having it here...
I tried the Mango Sago at Heytea in Korea, and honestly, this place was so much better!
Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to visit Heytea or Chabaekdo in China yet,
but for now, this spot in Osaka is definitely superior to what I had in Korea. Haha!
And seriously, the size is absolutely massive!
The only downside is that it's a single size, so you can't choose a smaller option.
But then again... I always seem to finish the entire cup before I know it! Haha!
The location isn't far from Namba or Shinsaibashi,
so if you're staying around Nipponbashi or Shinsaibashi,
I highly recommend giving it a try!
