Featuring Heytea, CHAGEE, More Yogurt, and More!

With China's visa-free travel extended this year,
many of you might be planning a trip there.
Today, I'm excited to share the Top 5 drink spots you absolutely *have* to try
when you visit China.
(Just a heads-up: I tried these in Beijing, but I'll mainly be introducing chain stores
you can find in most major Chinese cities!)
1. Heytea 喜茶

📍 First up is the most famous: Heytea.
Heytea (喜茶) is a renowned spot for milk tea and fruit drinks, already well-known even in Korea.
It's one of those places I always make sure to visit
at least once whenever I travel to China.

At Heytea, the drinks I'd highly recommend are the
Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea (烤黑糖波波牛乳茶),
Cheese Foam Mango (芝芝芒芒), and the
Cheese Foam Grape (轻芝多肉葡萄)!
The Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea offers a rich yet deep milk tea flavor
with delightfully chewy pearls, so I really suggest you give it a try.

For both the Mango and Grape drinks,
you really need the cheese foam on top to experience Heytea's authentic flavor,
so definitely choose them with the cheese foam!
2. CHAGEE 霸王茶姬

📍 The second drink spot is CHAGEE (霸王茶姬)!
Like Heytea, which I introduced earlier,
CHAGEE is also a fantastic milk tea destination.
However, CHAGEE offers some truly special milk teas.

These are the Jasmine Milk Tea (伯牙絶絃) and
Peach Oolong Milk Tea (花田乌龙).
I highly recommend the Jasmine Milk Tea (伯牙絶絃), which boasts a delicate jasmine fragrance unlike anything I've tasted in Korea, and the Peach Oolong Milk Tea (花田乌龙), which starts with a peach flavor and finishes with a clean oolong tea taste!
Personally, I really hope you try the Jasmine Milk Tea.
It has a subtle, addictive quality that keeps me thinking about it.
3. More Yogurt 茉酸奶

📍 The third delicious drink spot is More Yogurt.
As you might guess from the name, More Yogurt
is a place that specializes in yogurt drinks.

More Yogurt's signature drink is the Avocado Yogurt.
With its green signboard and a signature menu item like the light green avocado yogurt,
you can really feel their passion for avocados.

Fresh avocado is topped on the drink, so when you take a sip of the yogurt with the avocado,
you get a truly deep yet delightfully light avocado-flavored yogurt.
Everyone I was with took a sip and exclaimed how delicious it was, so if you find yourself there,
you absolutely must try the Avocado Yogurt!
4. Mixue 蜜雪冰城

📍 Fourth is Mixue!
This is the best value-for-money drink spot among the five!
Not only is a milk tea less than 10 Chinese Yuan,
but ice cream is also super affordable at around 3 Chinese Yuan.

So it's the perfect spot for a guilt-free treat.
At Mixue Bingcheng, I highly recommend the Bubble Milk Tea (珍珠奶茶), Passion Fruit
Lemonade, and the classic cone ice cream!
The cone ice cream, in particular, is so smooth and has such a
light texture that I find myself getting it every single time.
5. Luckin Coffee luckin coffee 瑞幸咖啡

As I mentioned before, while China boasts an abundance of incredible tea houses,
finding a good coffee shop can be surprisingly challenging.
📍 So, the last place I'd like to introduce is Luckin Coffee.
As the name suggests, this spot is a true coffee hotspot.

Among their coffee selections,
I'd particularly recommend their latte-centric options.
Their signature drinks are the Velvet Latte and the Fresh Coconut Latte (生椰拿).
The Velvet Latte offers a much richer milky flavor
than a standard latte, so if you're a fan of lattes,
this is an absolute must-try.
And Luckin Coffee's undisputed number one menu item,
the Fresh Coconut Latte, was personally even more delicious than the
coconut coffee I've had in Vietnam.
The rich flavor that hits you with the first sip is truly exceptional.
Of course, Luckin Coffee's Iced Americano is also
consistently good, so it's a great place to visit when you're craving that too.
Today, I've personally introduced you to 5 fantastic drink spots I visited
during my trip to Beijing, China.
Most people staying in Beijing usually base themselves in Wangfujing to
enjoy their meals and explore the city center.
