Beijing Capital Airport T3 Check-in & Departure Tips

Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) is renowned for its immense scale,

and among its terminals, Asiana Airlines operates out of Terminal 3 (T3).

Go for quick and easy self-check-in and baggage drop-off!

No need to worry, everything is well-explained in Korean.

At Shoudu (Capital) Airport, you'll find a variety of shops, including souvenir shops, KFC, Lawson convenience stores, Heytea, and bakeries.

However, there aren't many snack shops once you pass through the departure gates, so I recommend buying snacks beforehand!

I really wish they'd open a Heytea or a bakery inside the departure area too, haha!

After completing check-in and immigration,

if you're flying Asiana Airlines, you'll need to take an internal tram and then walk to your gate.

At Beijing Capital Airport, Asiana Airlines usually operates from Terminal 3,

and it seems they often assign gates located at the very end of it.

So, after passing through security, just like when I first arrived at Shoudu Airport,

I took the train towards the E gates for departure as well.

☀️Make sure to arrive at the airport with plenty of time, considering the train travel time☀️

(Even though there's no Heytea near the gates, unfortunately)

you'll find a wider range of souvenirs, liquor and tobacco duty-free shops, clothing and perfume duty-free shops,

Starbucks, and even a nut shop (the corn is incredibly delicious!). It's a great spot to grab some last-minute souvenirs or just browse around.

Asiana's boarding gate, E02, in particular,

is quite literally at the very end, meaning it's a bit of a distance from the duty-free shops.

OZ3365 Aircraft and Seating

Today, we breezed past business class

and headed straight for our Economy seats!

The Economy seating arrangement was ✅️ a 3-3 configuration!

Although it's a short route, around 2 hours,

based on an average adult woman, there was plenty of knee room left,

so the ✅️ legroom was quite generous, allowing for a comfortable and non-cramped journey.​

​

​

I personally prefer planes with displays over using my own device,

​

and this flight was equipped with ✅️ personal display monitors and headsets,

so I could enjoy movies or other entertainment without getting bored during the flight.

​

Asiana OZ3365 In-flight Meal

​

Immediately after takeoff and reaching cruising altitude, we were served our ✅️ in-flight meal!

Even for a short-haul flight, the meal was surprisingly substantial and well-composed.

On this day, the menu included ✅️ chicken rice bowl, smoked salmon salad, a dinner roll, butter, and refreshing sliced fruit.

Honestly, as a single menu item, it wasn't quite to my personal taste, but my family enjoyed it.

As they started clearing the in-flight meal, we were almost immediately preparing for landing.

After a flight of about 2 hours and 10 minutes, we safely landed at Gimpo International Airport!
