If you're planning a trip to Chiang Mai and choosing accommodation,
location is probably a pretty big deal, right!
Since it was my first time in Chiang Mai,
I wasn't sure what was where before I went,
so I decided to just dive in and explore once I got there,
and that's how I got familiar with Chiang Mai's accommodation spots and geography.
Among the places I stayed in various locations,
today I'm introducing a place in Nimmanhaemin that...
has a fantastic location and is surprisingly affordable,
making it perfect for anyone looking for great value!
1. Bedgasm Poshtel in Nimmanhaemin
What I loved most about Bedgasm Hotel
was definitely its location.
Nimmanhaemin is one of Chiang Mai's
most vibrant areas, packed with cafes, amazing restaurants, and shopping spots,
making it super convenient for travelers to get around.
Since Bedgasm is also located in Nimmanhaemin,
it was wonderful to wander around and explore
all the nearby sights.
Plus, One Nimman and Maya Mall are just a stone's throw away,
so it was a breeze to head out for shopping or a meal!
If you love cafe hopping or shopping in Chiang Mai,
Nimmanhaemin might just be the perfect place to base yourself.

2. A Hidden Gem Just Off the Main Road
Nimmanhaemin is incredibly popular with travelers,
so I was a little worried if the area around the accommodation
might be too noisy.But Bedgasm is tucked away
in a small alley just off the main road,
so I actually had a surprisingly peaceful stay.
And it seems like there are quite a few long-term residents, because
there's a separate parking lot right across from the hotel!
Being able to park without any worries
is definitely another plus point :)
Just a short walk outside,
you can fully immerse yourself in the lively Nimmanhaemin vibe,
and then retreat to the accommodation for a quiet, relaxing break –
that's what I personally loved.
3. Check-in & Cafe Experience
I had booked a Superior Room,
and I dropped off my luggage beforehand, went out, and then came back
to check-in right at 2 PM.
The hotel also runs a cafe on the ground floor,
so if you need to do some laptop work or co-work,
you don't have to go far to get things done.
The cafe is well-maintained and clean,
and the interior design is prettier than I expected,
making the ground-floor cafe a lovely spot for a quick stop.
4. Superior Queen Bed Room: Price & Booking Info
I was assigned a room on the second floor!
Just a heads-up, there's no elevator,
so it's probably better to request a lower floor if possible.
And after staying at several hotels in Chiang Mai, I noticed that
there aren't that many hotels
with elevators here.
Anyway, I booked a Superior Queen Bed Room,
and whether you're traveling solo or with a companion,
the room was surprisingly spacious, allowing for a comfortable rest!
I booked 3 nights for approximately ~$57,
so you can think of it as roughly ~$19 per night.
If there are two of you, the accommodation cost can be split,
making your travel expenses even lighter, right?!
I got this price because I booked just the day before,
but if you book in advance, you can often find even better deals.

And if you're planning a trip to Chiang Mai in November,
I highly recommend booking well in advance!
November is when Chiang Mai hosts its iconic festival,
Loy Krathong, and during this time,
the city sees a much larger influx of tourists than usual,
leading to higher accommodation demand and popular places
selling out quickly.
Especially in popular areas like Nimmanhaemin,
If you're looking for accommodation, as soon as your travel dates are set,
it's a great idea to compare options in advance :)

5. Room Condition
The Superior Queen Bed Room
was generally clean as soon as I entered, and
had a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere!
It was convenient to go back and forth, taking short breaks
while exploring the Nimmanahaeminda area.
The bed, in particular, was more comfortable than I expected,
perfect for a deep rest after a full day of exploring.
The room was also quite spacious, so it didn't feel cramped,
and it was tidily arranged, which was very satisfying.
A mini-fridge and two bottles of water were provided daily, and
just so you know, I'm not a big fan of having my room cleaned... haha.
So, I just asked for fresh water, toilet paper, and towels every day
and opted out of the cleaning service, lol.
The bathroom was also quite clean,
and shampoo and body wash are provided as standard!
Above all, when staying in Chiang Mai accommodations,
water pressure is incredibly important, LOL!!
There are often places with weak water pressure,
which can make it hard to shower.
But here at Bedgasm Poshtel, this budget-friendly accommodation in Nimmanahaeminda, Chiang Mai,
the water pressure was pretty good :)
Since rooms are usually for two people,
there were two pairs of indoor slippers,
and one pair could be conveniently used
for the bathroom :)
The slippers were also super soft and comfy!
6. Wrapping Up
Rather than a luxurious hotel room,
if you're looking for practical accommodation
where you can stay comfortably while traveling, I highly recommend it!
What's more, given its excellent location in Nimmanahaeminda,
and such great value for money, it would be perfect
for a long-term stay without breaking the bank :)
With One Nimman and Maya Mall nearby,
it was convenient for shopping and dining.
Plus, being just a little off the main road in an alley,
it was nice to be a step away from the bustling Nimmanahaeminda
and enjoy a comfortable rest!
