Today, I'm thrilled to introduce you to BARTELS, a renowned spot for brunch in Ho Chi Minh City, famous for its incredible sourdough and delicious sandwiches.

Beyond its popular Thao Dien location in District 2, BARTELS also has another branch in District 1, near Le Thanh Ton.

For this visit, I stopped by the Thao Dien BARTELS, and it was a fantastic experience!

1. BARTELS: A Ho Chi Minh Brunch Destination

First off, BARTELS boasts a wonderfully clean and inviting atmosphere. As I stepped inside, I noticed quite a few international visitors already enjoying their brunch.

I arrived at a slightly off-peak hour, which meant it wasn't overly crowded – a perfect setting for a relaxed meal!

On the first floor, you'll find comfortable tables, perfect even if you're dining solo. I observed some families heading upstairs, which makes sense!

As you can see from the photos above, the second floor offers more spacious seating arrangements, ideal for groups or families.

BARTELS also offers a wide selection of fresh fruit and vegetable juices. You can spot piles of vibrant, fresh produce stacked at the counter, a testament to their commitment to quality.

2. BARTELS Menu Highlights

Head over to the counter, and you'll find a stack of menus ready for you to browse!

Each menu item comes with a photo and a detailed description of its ingredients. The menu is quite extensive, so I couldn't capture every single item, but I made sure to snap photos of the dishes that caught my eye!

After reading through the ingredients, I felt the BTS Sourdough Open Sandwich would be absolutely perfect for my palate.

With burrata, stracciatella, sun-dried tomatoes, basil, melon, jamon, and truffle balsamic, it was precisely the combination I adore...!!!

They also offer a fantastic and diverse range of salads and grilled sandwiches.

3. My Sourdough Open Sandwich & Fresh Juice Experience

My ordered BTS sandwich arrived, and let me tell you, it was much larger than it appeared in photos! Initially, I was a bit surprised by the sheer size of this open sandwich – definitely not something you typically see back home – but I managed to finish every last bite!

I carefully moved the burrata cheese to the side, then cut it into smaller pieces to enjoy with each bite of the sandwich.

The savory notes from the balsamic glaze, truffle balsamic, and jamon

perfectly complemented the creamy burrata and stracciatella cheeses, and the sweetness of the melon.

It was a combination I knew would be delicious even before trying it, and it absolutely delivered!

The fresh, aromatic hints of basil and arugula added the finishing touch, making it an ideal brunch choice.

As you might have gathered from the menu link above, their cold-pressed juice selection is also incredibly diverse.

I chose the Red Passion in a small size, which is a refreshing blend of apple, watermelon, and passion fruit!

It was beautifully presented, and since these are some of my favorite fruits, it tasted absolutely perfect to me.

It's also conveniently close to Yoga Pod, making it a great spot to grab a quick and healthy brunch after a yoga session!

Honestly, BARTELS stands out as one of the best brunch cafes I've experienced during my recent trip to Ho Chi Minh City.
