Discover Bann Kang Wat, Chiang Mai's charming artist village, a hidden gem packed with unique handcrafted goods, cozy cafes, and serene vibes. A must-visit!
Hello, fellow travelers!
If I had to pick one truly special spot from my solo trip to Chiang Mai, the Bann Kang Wat Artisans' Village would undoubtedly be at the top of my list.🌿

Bann Kang Wat is a delightful art village, a collection of quaint, charming shops showcasing local creativity. It's a peaceful escape from the bustling city, easily accessible from Old Town with just a 10-15 minute drive. If you're planning a trip to Chiang Mai or even considering a long-term stay, you absolutely must add this unique destination to your itinerary!‼️

I chose one of my favorite dresses to match the bohemian, artistic vibe of Bann Kang Wat. ✨ (Perhaps I overindulged the night before, as my face was a bit puffy, haha!)
Now, let's take a virtual stroll through Chiang Mai's enchanting Bann Kang Wat Artisans' Village!

Here, you'll find handmade crafts and souvenirs brimming with character, unlike anything you’d typically see at Chiang Mai's night bazaars or city markets.😻 If you adore unique, handcrafted items, you'll be captivated – I certainly was!

I climbed the stairs and explored every nook and cranny, completely lost in discovery.

While there are many beautiful things to admire, it's more about the experience of browsing than necessarily buying. Some items can feel a bit pricier compared to general Thai market goods, but the artistry is worth appreciating!
★A quick tip★
Some shops may have restrictions on photography, so it’s always a good idea to ask permission or check for signs before snapping photos!

True to an artist village, you'll find plenty of eye-catching sculptures and installations. Isn't this cat adorable? It looks like a shop assistant, meow! ㅋㅋㅋ

Cats roam freely, often found napping peacefully in sunbeams. It truly adds to the serene atmosphere of Bann Kang Wat.🤍🤍🤍

I spotted this charming drink stand, though I only took a picture.

As I walked by, an incredible aroma wafted through the air. I stumbled upon what felt like a cozy home kitchen scene.✨

Enticed by the delicious scent, I ordered chicken curry with rice. Befitting an artist village, even the plating was exceptional!🍛 Served beautifully on a leaf, the dish looked incredibly appetizing.

I boldly asked a busy staff member to take a commemorative photo for me, and they happily obliged! The chicken curry was a bit spicy for my palate (I'm a mild spice fan!), but it was perfectly balanced when eaten with rice. It had a wonderfully clean and satisfying flavor.👍🏻👍🏻

After my meal, warm tea was also available, a lovely touch.🍵
I highly recommend Bann Kang Wat as a must-visit spot in Chiang Mai!🤍
