Planning a day trip to Ba Na Hills in Da Nang? Read our honest review covering the cable car ride, indoor Fantasy Park, and how to book your tickets.

If you are planning a trip to Da Nang and Hoi An, Vietnam, you are in for an incredible adventure.
Out of all the places I visited, Ba Na Hills was easily the most memorable highlight of my journey.
To be honest, the city center of Da Nang did not leave a huge impression on me, and while Hoi An was beautiful, Ba Na Hills felt like the main event of the entire trip.

If you are heading to Da Nang soon and debating whether to visit, I have put together this guide on Ba Na Hills ticket prices and cable car tips to help you plan your day.

I set off from my accommodation in Hoi An. The travel time from Hoi An to Ba Na Hills is about 1 to 1.5 hours (roughly 30 miles).
I hired a private driver who spoke great English and was incredibly responsive on WhatsApp, which made the whole day completely stress-free.
If you are staying in Da Nang, your travel time will be much shorter and even more convenient.

The weather was absolutely perfect and the clear blue skies put me in the best mood for exploring.

Our driver dropped us off right near the main entrance, making it super easy to walk in.
It actually started to drizzle a bit when we arrived, but the silver lining was that the entrance was not crowded at all, which was a huge win.

The Ba Na Hills Cable Car is the signature attraction that takes you from the foot of the mountain up to the mountaintop theme park. The ride takes about 20 to 30 minutes.

As we ascended, the weather changed dramatically. The mountain was shrouded in thick fog, making it feel like we were floating directly through the clouds.

As soon as we stepped off, we were greeted by a lively dance performance.
During the peak dry season (February to August), these performances run regularly after 10:00 AM, so you are very likely to catch one during your visit.
There are various themed shows happening throughout the day, which adds a wonderful festival atmosphere.

To be honest, I did not have massive expectations for a mountaintop theme park and only booked my ticket the night before, but I was genuinely blown away by its sheer scale.
I highly recommend booking in advance because you can enter instantly using a QR code. It is super convenient and the ticket already includes the round-trip cable car ride, so there is no need to purchase anything extra.

When a sudden rain shower hit, we headed inside to explore the indoor section.
I was surprised by how much there was to see and do indoors, making it the perfect rainy-day backup plan.

At the center of the indoor park is a thrilling drop tower, and there is also a dinosaur exhibition that is perfect for families traveling with kids.

With 4D and 5D cinemas alongside a massive arcade game zone, it is an awesome place to escape the afternoon heat or a sudden downpour.
I highly recommend taking some time to walk through!

There are also beautiful ponds and gardens scattered throughout the park, making it a lovely place to stroll and explore.
