Family Travel Admission Tickets

Hey there, fellow explorers!
I'm travel influencer Na Bong-soon.
Somehow, I ended up visiting
Ba Na Hills three times over the past year!
That means I can share how this magical place
looks across all the different seasons.

On my most recent trip, I went with my sister-in-law and nephew,
taking on one of Da Nang's absolute must-visit itineraries.
We had an incredible time checking out all the exciting rides
and eating our way through the lively Beer Plaza.
It was such an action-packed, fun-filled day!
If you’re planning a family trip to Da Nang,
I've put together a guide on what to do at each cable car station,
the types of rides you can expect,
and how to make the most of your Beer Plaza coupons.
Here is everything you need to know!
01. Ba Na Hills Location & Ticket Info

To make the absolute most of your Ba Na Hills adventure,
your very first step should be booking your tickets online.
Since it's Da Nang's most famous attraction,
waiting in line at the physical ticket booth
can eat up a ton of your precious vacation time.
Plus, compared to other Southeast Asian attractions,
the standard adult ticket price is on the higher side,
so booking in advance through Klook
is much lighter on your wallet.
You can snag basic admission as well as various combo options
at great discounted rates!
Book Da Nang Sun World Ba Na Hills Tickets on KLOOK

When you book online in advance,
you'll receive your tickets as a QR code.
This means no waiting in line at the ticket booth—
you can just scan the QR code right from your phone
to enter immediately without any paper tickets.

While you can purchase a round-trip shuttle bus ticket,
if you're traveling independently and don't want to be
restricted by fixed departure times,
you can easily take a Grab from downtown Da Nang
for about 600,000 to 700,000 VND (~$19 to ~$26) round trip.
This gives you much more flexibility.
Quick tip: if you're adding Ba Na Hills to your Da Nang itinerary,
the absolute key is
getting there as early as possible!

Because it's an incredibly popular destination that draws massive crowds,
arriving early lets you snap clean photos at the main photo zones
without hundreds of people in the background.
After quickly taking in highlights like the Golden Bridge and the flower gardens,
you can head straight to whatever area you want to explore next.
Trust me, this will save your day!
02. Ba Na Hills Rides & Attractions

After hopping on the cable car,
we quickly did our sightseeing and photo session at the Golden Bridge,
and then rushed off to enjoy the various Ba Na Hills rides.

The super-popular Alpine Coaster
is a ride where you slide down a track while controlling your own speed.
You can use a manual handbrake lever to control the speed,
allowing you to zoom down right through the middle of the lush forest.
Usually, your general admission ticket
lets you ride most of the attractions
freely,
but the Alpine Coaster has recently changed to a paid attraction.
That said, it's only about ~$2, so it's absolutely worth trying at least once!
You can ride either solo or in pairs.
If you're traveling as two adults, I highly recommend riding individually.
Children under 110 cm are not permitted to ride.
Kids between 110–139 cm must ride with a guardian,
and anyone over 140 cm can ride solo.

If you're visiting with preschoolers or early elementary schoolers,
I highly recommend checking out Fantasy Park,
the massive indoor amusement center!

They also have the super popular
Drop Tower ride here.
Just watching it shoot up and suddenly plunge
was enough to give me butterflies!

Some of the rides have a slightly retro, 90s vibe,
but the best part is that you can jump on most of them
without any wait, all included in your admission ticket!
There's also an indoor playground, making it the perfect spot
for parents to take a breather and relax
during a family trip to Da Nang.
They even have kid-friendly roller coasters
and a spooky haunted house!

My preschool-aged nephew had a blast
riding several attractions with zero wait time,
and he ended up running around the indoor playground
making friends with kids from all over the world.

Near the Ba Na Hills Beer Plaza,
you'll find classic, family-friendly rides like the carousel,
which everyone can enjoy together
completely free of charge.

While the admission ticket is a bit on the pricier side,
it's totally worth it because the lines for the rides are short
and you can ride them as many times as your heart desires!
03. Ba Na Hills Beer Plaza & Brewery

Every time I visit Ba Na Hills,
they hand out coupons for two free beers per adult at the entrance!

You can redeem these at the Beer Plaza,
which houses both a buffet restaurant and the brewery.
While the exact deal seems to change slightly every time I go,
beer is always a guaranteed part of the offer.

On my most recent visit,
we could choose between french fries or beer.
Luckily for us, some kind visitors who were leaving
handed us their unused coupons! Thanks to them, we scored
four beers and a side of fries to enjoy.

Of course, the staff might gently encourage you to order more food,
but feel free to confidently just use your coupons
and head right back out!

It was a hot day, and we wanted to sit and relax with our little one,
so we ordered a simple snack combo featuring sausages, fries, and popcorn chicken.
It cost 400,000 VND (~$13),
which is definitely on the pricier side compared to local prices, right?
The steak combos were priced in the ~$26 to ~$45 range,
while the seafood platters were around ~$64.

This area also connects directly
to the buffet restaurant space.
They have live performances, which gives the whole place a wonderfully exotic and lively vibe!
It's 450,000 VND (~$14) per adult,
but when you purchase your admission tickets, there are package deals that include the buffet or other meals.
Be sure to check those options out for the best value!

Since most of the restaurants inside the park are fairly expensive,
getting a ticket that includes the buffet
might actually be the most cost-effective option if you plan to eat there.
The admission alone is around the ~$32 to ~$38 range per person, depending on the season.
However, there are plenty of add-on options available—like buffet meals, round-trip transfers from the city,
and Alpine Coaster tickets—
so you can customize your package
to perfectly suit your family's needs.
04. Wrapping Up

Riding the record-breaking
Ba Na Hills cable car is a healing experience in itself.
With temperatures much cooler than the city below, you can fully enjoy
the thrilling rides at Ba Na Hills
and top off your adventure with an ice-cold draft beer
at the Ba Na Hills Beer Plaza!

Since it's located quite far from the downtown area
where most of the main attractions are clustered, and the ticket prices are on the higher side,
it's definitely a spot where people's opinions can be quite divided.

But luckily, I've always had wonderful weather
whenever I included it in my Da Nang, Vietnam itinerary!
Every time I visit, I get to witness the stunning views of the Golden Bridge
and enjoy a whole variety of fun rides with the kids to our hearts' content,
making it a truly joyful and memorable self-guided adventure.
A round-trip Grab ride from downtown Da Nang to Ba Na Hills costs around 600,000 to 700,000 VND, which is ~$19 to ~$26. If you are traveling independently and want a flexible departure time, we recommend using Grab instead of a shuttle bus.
The Alpine Coaster has recently become a paid attraction, with an additional fee of ~$2. Children under 110 cm are not allowed to ride. Those between 110 cm and 139 cm can ride if accompanied by a guardian, while those 140 cm and taller can ride alone.
Upon entering Ba Na Hills, two coupons are provided per adult for use at the Beer Plaza. While the offerings may vary depending on the time of your visit, you can generally choose to enjoy free beer or french fries.
Fantasy Park offers a variety of indoor rides, including a drop tower, a kids' roller coaster, and a haunted house. Most rides can be enjoyed freely without waiting lines just with your admission ticket, and there is also an indoor playground where children can run around and play.
