My Review of Ba Na Hills: A Must-Visit in Da Nang, Vietnam
From Ticket Prices to Free Shuttles

When I visited Da Nang, Vietnam, with my parents,
Ba Na Hills was the place I wanted to go to the most
and was looking forward to the most.
Honestly, since it was a package tour,
we didn't have much free time, so I didn't set my expectations too high.
But once we got there, even my parents said they wished we had more time –
that's how much they loved it!
The scenery from the cable car on the way up was absolutely stunning, and there were so many photo zones everywhere,
so I took tons of pictures of my parents, haha!
While we didn't have enough free time for all the rides
due to the nature of our package tour,
we still enjoyed leisurely exploring the beautiful buildings, taking photos,
and having a relaxing coffee at a cafe.
That's why if I ever go back to Da Nang on a free-and-easy trip,
I'll definitely plan a full day for Ba Na Hills!
It's a place I highly recommend.

Ba Na Hills: A Must-Visit in Da Nang, Vietnam
📍 Ba Na Hills

Ba Na Hills is a **theme park built on a mountain** at an **altitude of 1,487m**, boasting an incredible array of sights and activities,
from the Golden Bridge to the French Village, Fantasy Park, and various gardens.
In fact, even the cable car ride up to Ba Na Hills
feels like a tourist attraction in itself!
The Ba Na Hills cable car system operates on multiple routes,
and some of these routes are even famous for having set Guinness World Records in the past.
During the ascent, you can witness
the magnificent mountain and forest scenery unfolding below;
it's truly a spectacular sight if the weather is clear.
Being situated at a high altitude of 1,487m,
Ba Na Hills is very susceptible to weather changes.
Fortunately, the day we visited was clear,
so we had an excellent view of the dense forests and the scenery below
during our cable car ride.
Conversely, if the weather is cloudy or rainy,
visibility can be limited due to fog,
and the operation of the cable cars or some facilities might be altered depending on the conditions.
Therefore, I highly recommend checking these things before your Ba Na Hills trip:

I recommend planning a rough itinerary of what you want to see first before you enter!
What to See at Ba Na Hills, Da Nang
Golden Bridge, French Village, Fantasy Park
Golden Bridge
The first place that comes to mind when you think of Ba Na Hills!
With its unique design featuring giant hands supporting the bridge,
it's an iconic photo-op spot.
I took so many photos too, haha!
If the weather is good, the surrounding mountains and clouds are captured together,
making for truly beautiful pictures.
French Village
Personally, if you're visiting with your parents,
I highly recommend this place too.
It feels like you've stepped into a small European village,
with beautiful buildings, a plaza, restaurants, and cafes all gathered together,
making it perfect for a leisurely stroll.
We took pictures here, sat at a cafe enjoying coffee, and relaxed for a bit.
If we had more time,
I would have loved to wander around here for even longer!
Fantasy Park
If you love amusement rides,
Fantasy Park is also a must-visit.
Since it's an indoor theme park,
it's a great option even when the weather isn't ideal,
and some facilities are included in the admission ticket and can be used for free.
However, games that use coins
and some paid attractions require an additional fee.
Also, the Alpine Coaster, one of the most popular attractions at Ba Na Hills,
requires a separate ticket.
So, if you definitely want to go on the rides,
don't just buy the basic admission ticket;
it's best to check in advance for packages that include your desired attractions.
Da Nang Ba Na Hills Review
Since we were on a package tour,
we didn't have much time
to move around freely at Ba Na Hills.
So, we couldn't go on any rides,
and focused our sightseeing on the Golden Bridge and French Village.
Even so, I took lots of photos for my parents,
and took a ton of pictures myself, haha!
We also enjoyed coffee at a cafe,
and had a pretty relaxed time.
Most importantly, when we went up on the cable car,
the scenery below was absolutely stunning,
and my parents loved it too.
That's why I felt even more regretful that our time was so short.
Top Tips for Visiting Da Nang Ba Na Hills
1️⃣ Aim for a Full Day if Possible
Ba Na Hills is larger than you might expect.
It's not just a place to see the Golden Bridge and leave;
with the French Village, gardens, Fantasy Park, and more
there's so much to explore.
So, if you're traveling independently, I recommend setting aside a generous full day
for your visit!
2️⃣ Visit Early in the Morning
If you don't have a lot of time,
it's best to visit early in the morning.
There's a lot to see, and
taking photos and exploring the main attractions
can take up more time than you expect.
3️⃣ Weather Check is Essential
No matter how much you plan in advance,
Ba Na Hills is greatly affected by the weather,
so make sure to check the weather before your visit.
In particular, cable car operations
can change depending on weather conditions and other factors.
4️⃣ If You've Purchased Tickets in Advance,
Check for Additional Benefits
If your ticket includes benefits like beer or pastries, as some packages I compared did,
make sure to redeem them on-site!
However, I recommend reconfirming the exchange location and operating hours
on the product detail page at the time of your visit.

However, since the free shuttle is currently in a trial phase,
and its schedule or boarding locations might change,
it's a good idea to double-check official announcements before your visit!
Wondering about transportation?
Ba Na Hills is some distance from Da Nang city center,
so if buying admission tickets separately feels cumbersome,
opting for a package that includes round-trip transportation + Ba Na Hills admission is another great option.
Especially if you're traveling with parents
or on a family trip with children,
it might be more convenient to look for packages that include transportation
rather than trying to hail taxis separately.

Ba Na Hills was a delightful tourist spot
that I enjoyed during my Da Nang trip with my parents!
Especially if you're traveling to Da Nang with your parents, like I did,
there are plenty of photo opportunities,
the cable car ride is an adventure in itself,
and it's wonderful for a light stroll through the French Village
or relaxing at a cafe.
I felt it was a great tourist destination for all generations to enjoy.
However, if your time is limited, like on a package tour,
you might feel that the time is too short
because there's so much more to see than you might expect.
So, if you're going on an independent trip,
I'd really recommend dedicating a whole day to explore it at a leisurely pace.
And when you're buying your admission tickets,
don't just look at the price.
