When I went on a weekday, there were three large tour buses already waiting.
Although the official notice states you might not be able to board if it's full,
the area is also a Sun World parking lot, and it definitely felt like they would add more buses based on the number of people gathering that day.
Our departure was scheduled for 2 PM sharp, but it seems a foreign visitor requested we wait for their companions. So, our car only departed at 2:10 PM after they boarded.
While this flexibility is certainly nice, let's all try to be on time!

✔️ The shuttle departure times are fixed, so plan your time at Ba Na Hills by working backward from those.
Keep cable car times and shuttle bus times in mind, especially if you're using the dinner buffet (3:30 PM - 9:30 PM)
✔️ If the shuttle times don't work out or you think you might miss it, consider calling a Grab as well.
This time, we managed to catch the shuttle perfectly and completed both directions for free, but flexibility is key!

but it's a bit complicated as direct routes often only operate during the day (morning/afternoon).
✅️ Even the afternoon cable car route that stops at Louvre, Marseille, and Hoi An stations
operates strictly according to its stated open hours, so I recommend arriving with plenty of time in advance!!!
You especially need to calculate your return carefully if your ticket includes the dinner buffet.
In my case, I ✔️ boarded at Louvre from 7:30-7:35 PM, then at Marseille from 8:00-8:05 PM,
allowing me to board the shuttle bus to Da Nang City Center at 8:30 PM.
There were some short waits in between, and I was a bit anxious about missing the shuttle...
The night cable car operating policy can be a bit frustrating, but if you follow this plan, you should be able to catch the 8:30 PM shuttle back.
After getting off the cable car, walk straight for about 7-8 minutes along the path,
and you'll see people lining up at the barricades already set up
at the main gate where you were first dropped off by the shuttle.
On that day, ✅️ buses started arriving one by one around 8:35 PM, so don't panic even if it's a little late!
(Many people were either hailing legitimate Grab cars or being approached by unofficial drivers nearby.)
The staff managed things pretty well, so it wasn't chaotic. Perhaps drained from Ba Na Hills, everyone calmly boarded the shuttle.
Perhaps because it was evening, we arrived in less than 30 minutes.
Just like on the way there, we were dropped off near the boarding point on the way back!
We easily found a Grab nearby and could comfortably return to our hotel.
