Just wrapped up your Da Nang adventure? Discover essential tips and an honest review of Asiana Airlines' OZ756 return flight to Incheon, including comfy seats and delicious in-flight meals!

After a wonderful trip to Da Nang, Vietnam, on the way back to Incheon International Airport,
I returned home on Asiana Airlines flight OZ756 (A321 NEO).
The direct flight time was approximately 4 hours and 45 minutes.
It was the same aircraft model as OZ755, which I took on the way there, and I was very satisfied with the on-time departure.
Here's my review of the Asiana Airlines return flight from Da Nang to Incheon, covering check-in, in-flight meals, duty-free shopping, and more!
Flight tickets to Da Nang can vary quite a bit in price depending on the season,
so make sure to compare the lowest prices by airline and date at a glance on Kayak!~~

Da Nang International Airport

Da Nang International Airport is conveniently close to the city center, and not too large,
making the journey from check-in to the gate quick and the layout straightforward.
That's why it seems to be a popular choice for travelers with parents or children!

The Asiana Airlines check-in counter at Da Nang Airport
opens 3 hours before departure, and since the line wasn't long, check-in was completed quickly.
✔️ Checked baggage: 1 piece of 23kg free for Economy class.
✔️ Carry-on baggage: Within 10kg.

I was a bit worried since there was only one departure entrance, but it didn't take as long as I expected.
From the line in the photo to passing security and immigration, it took around 20-25 minutes?!
The airport itself is quite small, so security checks are fast and you'll reach your gate quickly, but during peak season, it's always wise to arrive with plenty of time to spare!
Last-Minute Duty-Free Shopping Before Departure

After immigration, the duty-free area features ✅️ Lotte Duty Free, as well as
various shops including local souvenir stores and pho restaurants, making it a great place to spend any leftover Vietnamese Dong.

✅️ You'll find most of the must-buy Vietnamese shopping items here, such as Cherish mango jelly, Vietnamese coffee, coconut snacks, cashews, clothing, and various goods.
Even if it's slightly more expensive than supermarkets in the city, it's a great last chance to pick up anything you might have missed!
I even managed to buy the Lady Trieu Gin, a Vietnamese local gin, that I had tasted during the cocktail class at Fusion Resort Da Nang.
I later found out it's not yet sold in Korea, making it a rare find, haha!
Boarding Asiana Airlines

Right next to Gate 7, which was our Asiana boarding gate,
there was also a duty-free shop primarily selling jellies and other retail items, and a Korean restaurant called Shilla Guksu.
Plus, there was a comfortable space where you could lie down, making it pleasant to wait even late at night!

The aircraft deployed for OZ756 was the same Airbus A321NEO as on the outbound flight,
a model that Asiana Airlines actively uses for its Da Nang route.
Total flight time was 4 hours and 45 minutes.

Asiana Business Class on OZ756 looked something like this;
But I walked right past it, heading for Economy~

The Economy seat configuration was a 3-3 layout,

The seat pitch was quite generous,
so it wasn't bad to recline the seat throughout the night flight.

✅️ Each seat has a USB charging port, so you can charge your devices during the flight.
✅️ No personal monitors; instead, you use your personal devices and audio equipment with the in-flight OZ Wifi.
✅️ Before departure, we also recommend downloading offline content from platforms like Netflix or YouTube.
As expected with the Neo model, there are no personal monitors.
Personal devices & personal audio equipment are essential, so if you're traveling with kids, make sure to bring extras~

He gazed wistfully at Da Nang fading into the distance outside the window...
tearing up as he remembered how wonderful Da Nang was.
In-flight Meal: Served once
The in-flight meal was served once after takeoff, with two menu options.

Option 1: Western, Beef and Mashed Potatoes
This menu featured tender, braised beef with mashed potatoes,
and after eating mostly Vietnamese food, it was a nice change to have Western cuisine again.

Option 2: Korean, Spicy Chicken with Rice
This dish was spicier than expected, so beware if you're not good with spice!
Again, after eating only Vietnamese food throughout the trip, it was satisfying to taste Korean-style spice after a while.
✔️ If you have a preferred meal, you can pre-order a special meal (SPML) through the Asiana app before boarding.
✔️ Children's meals also must be requested at least one day in advance.

As it was a night flight, after serving the in-flight meal right after takeoff,
the lights were immediately dimmed to allow for some restful sleep, which was a huge plus!
After a 4-hour and 45-minute flight, and with the time difference, even a short nap led right into landing preparations, so I ended up sleeping all day after getting home the next day, haha...
We safely arrived at Incheon International Airport Terminal 2!
