When you visit Osaka, there's one place you absolutely have to go.
That's right, the Suita Asahi Beer Factory.
It's about a 20-minute train ride from Umeda,
not too far from the city center,
which is why countless tourists visit.
While before COVID-19, the beer factory tour was a simple course of
a straightforward explanation followed by a tasting,
these days, it has transformed into a tour with more diverse content,
incorporating things like VR.
Therefore, it's not just a visit for adults;
it's also a great experience to enjoy with kids.
However, to join the beer factory tour,
you need to make a reservation in advance.
Today, I'll walk you through a detailed guide on how to book
the Suita Asahi Beer Factory tour!
To book the tour, you first need to
access their official website.

1. Access the Official Homepage and Select Tour Date
Once you've accessed the homepage, you'll see a button
labeled 'Tour Reservation' in the top tab.
Please click it to move to the next page.

and booking typically opens around the middle of each month.
For example, reservations for August tours opened on June 19th,
so please keep that in mind when planning.
2. Select Your Preferred Tour Time
Next, you need to select your tour participation time.
There were a total of four tour slots available:
10:00 AM, 10:30 AM, 2:00 PM, and 2:30 PM,
and almost all time slots were on the verge of selling out.
Weekend and popular time slots always sell out quickly,
so I highly recommend booking in advance.
Once you've chosen a date, a pop-up will appear
asking you to select your application method.
You can proceed by clicking the 'Book without registering My Page'
button on the right.
3. Enter Number of Participants and Transportation Method
Next is where you'll enter the detailed information.
First, you'll need to specify the number of participants, including how many are in each age group, check if anyone has mobility issues, and then choose your mode of transportation.
A super important tip here is to absolutely pick
'Tram, Bus' from the top of the transportation options.
Because if you accidentally choose your own car, bicycle, or other personal transport,
you might not be able to enjoy the tasting!
Once you've filled everything in, just check the agreement box
and move on to the next screen.
4. Enter Visitor Information
The next screen is where you'll enter your visitor information.
You'll simply need to fill in your name, address, phone number, email address,
and the email verification code.
Don't worry, the photo shows everything clearly in Korean, so you'll have no trouble inputting your details.
Here's a crucial tip:
the name at the very top needs to be in Katakana,
and the one below it in Hiragana.
It sounds tricky, but don't fret! You can easily find Katakana converters online (like on Naver) to help you out,
so it's super simple.
For your phone number, simply start with 010,
and remember, your email address needs to be entered twice for confirmation.
The key here is the verification code!
Hit 'Receive verification code', and a 6-digit code will zip right to the email address you provided.
Pop that number in,
and then you're all set to head to the next page.
5. Confirm Reservation Details
This page is all about reviewing the reservation details you've just entered
and confirming them.
Take a moment for one last careful check,
and then you're good to go to the next page!
6. Reservation Complete
If you've followed these steps perfectly,
your reservation is now wonderfully complete!
You'll see your reservation number and password,
just like in the picture above.
These details are essential if you ever need to check or cancel your booking,
so it's a smart move to grab a quick screenshot!
But don't worry if you miss the screenshot! You'll also receive these details by email, as shown in the photo,
so you're all covered!
7. How to Check and Cancel Your Reservation
Last but not least, let's explore how to check
and, if needed, cancel your reservation.
In your email, right below your reservation number and password,
you'll spot a handy link to the reservation confirmation page.
Click that link, and you'll arrive at a page where you can pop in your reservation number and password, just as the picture shows.
Once entered, you'll unlock the next page,
where you can easily review all your booking details
and even cancel your tour with ease, should your plans change.
As a quick note, while tour cancellations are possible right up until the tour starts,
I highly recommend canceling in advance if you can.
