Arrow Hotel Namba Osaka Review 2026: Dotonbori Value & Breakfast
Searching for a fantastic value stay in Osaka? Arrow Hotel Namba offers unbeatable proximity to Dotonbori, comfortable rooms, and a tasty breakfast to start your day.

Osaka Namba Hotel Recommendation: Arrow Hotel Near Dotonbori
Check-in: From 12:00 PM
Check-out: By 12:00 PM
If you're planning a trip to Osaka, staying near the iconic Dotonbori is an absolute must.
Of all the places I've stayed in this area, Arrow Hotel definitely offered the absolute best value for money!
They even offer free breakfast and a shuttle coupon for Universal Studios Japan!
Prices can vary depending on your dates and the season,
but with average nightly rates around ~$45 to ~$64,
it's an incredibly budget-friendly spot.
1. Location

Arrow Hotel is perfectly situated right between Osaka Namba Station and Shinsaibashi Station,
making it super easy to reach the Dotonbori River
and the famous Glico Man sign.
Since both Nankai Namba Station and
Shinsaibashi Station are close by,
whether you take the Rapi:t express train or the limousine bus from Kansai Airport,
you'll be able to get here in no time!

The map says it's a 7-minute walk to Dotonbori,
but in reality, it felt more like 5 minutes. Plus, there's a Don Quijote nearby!
It was so nice to be able to explore Dotonbori late into the night
and stroll back without worrying about transportation.
If your Osaka itinerary is focused on food tours
and shopping,
this location is absolutely unbeatable.

The hotel has both front and back entrances,
and you can easily find it using Google Maps.
2. Price & Booking

I visited with a friend in early April, and by using a Klook discount code,
we got a ~$13 discount and booked it for around ~$52 per night!
Since they also give you a Universal Studios shuttle coupon,
I highly recommend booking through Klook if it fits your travel plans!
I'll share the discount code at the very end of this post!
3. Check-in Service

There is an escalator, but it doesn't run at night,
so you have to use the stairs to get up to the front desk.
Don't worry, though—you can take the elevator to your room once you check in!

There were two staff members at the lobby desk,
and when they heard us speaking Korean to each other during check-in,
they immediately switched to fluent Korean!
They were so fluent, I actually wondered if they were native speakers.
Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming.

Since this is a classic, established hotel, they use traditional keys
rather than modern key cards.
There are two elevators available to take you up to the rooms.
4. Room Condition

I booked a Twin Room,
and since the hotel is completely non-smoking, there was no need to worry about requesting a non-smoking room!
To be honest, when I first saw the photos online, I was a bit worried it might look outdated,
so I didn't have high expectations. But I was pleasantly surprised by how clean
and well-maintained it actually was!

The overall room size is definitely on the smaller side.
It would be pretty tight to open two suitcases at once, but you can manage with one
open and still have enough room to walk around.

Since there are no ceiling lights in the room, it's generally
a bit dim, but it was perfectly fine for washing up and doing makeup.
Also, they provide cozy yukatas instead of standard bathrobes!

In terms of amenities, they have a TV, mini-fridge, hairdryer, yukatas,
towels, razors, shampoo & conditioner, toothbrush/toothpaste sets, tissues,
and so on—everything you'd expect in a hotel is fully stocked.

The bathroom is also small but super clean,
and it even has a surprisingly deep bathtub.
They provide plenty of towels,
so we had more than enough for a one-night stay without having to request extras.
If you stay for two nights or more, the staff will restock them when they clean!
5. Breakfast Service

My room booking actually stated "breakfast not included,"
but the staff gave me information about breakfast during check-in anyway.
Just in case, I asked if I could use it,
and they told me to go ahead and enjoy it for free!
I booked this place for ~$51, and breakfast is free...?!
Breakfast is served from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM,
and when I went down around 7:30 AM, it was already packed.

There were more tables than I expected, the dining area was quite spacious,
and there was a huge variety of food options.
If you prefer a lighter start to your day,
you can stick to the sandwiches, fruits, and cereal options here.

The hot food station features scrambled eggs, tonkatsu (pork cutlet), ham, salad, dumplings,
sausages, and grilled fish.

For drinks, they have coffee, orange juice, milk, oolong tea,
water, and tomato juice.

I didn't expect much from a free breakfast, but it was honestly so delicious!
I ended up eating three plates... The tonkatsu in particular was so crispy and juicy that it made me wonder,
"Is all ready-made tonkatsu in Japan this good?!" haha.
From the prime location and room quality to the friendly staff and amazing breakfast,
everything about Arrow Hotel was absolutely satisfying.
I highly recommend this as a budget-friendly hotel near Namba and Dotonbori in Osaka!

6. Booking Discount Codes

Unfortunately, the ~$13 discount coupon I used is
no longer being issued. Instead,
they are currently offering three Japanese hotel discount coupons:
'5월어디로든할인'
~$3 coupon (applicable to any booking over ~$77)
일본호텔1만원KLK
~$6 discount on Japanese hotel bookings over ~$192
일본호텔2만원KLK
~$13 discount on Japanese hotel bookings over ~$320
These coupon options make booking your Japan stay even more affordable!
If you're new to Klook,
make sure to sign up with the invite link above to grab a ~$3 coupon!
Don't miss out! I signed up normally and got absolutely nothing...
