Ever found yourself planning an Andong trip and wondering how to spend that last evening?

Especially after a delicious dinner, it feels a shame to head straight back to your accommodation, but going too far might feel like too much hassle!

That’s exactly when Woryeonggyo Bridge comes into its own. I'm excited to share the perfect evening itinerary my family and I enjoyed in Andong.

We visited Andong with my extended family in late September 2025. During the day, we diligently explored traditional sites like Hahoe Folk Village, Byeongsan Seowon, and Buyongdae.

In the evening, we spent time enjoying a festival near Andong Jjimdak Alley. But we weren't quite ready for the day to end, so we headed to Woryeonggyo Bridge for some enchanting night views.

It's only about a 7-minute drive from Jjimdak Alley or Galbi Alley, making it a perfectly convenient addition to your evening plans.

Perhaps because it was just before a major holiday, both Andong city center and Woryeonggyo Bridge were bustling with more people than we expected.

Having already relaxed at a nearby cafe, we took a leisurely stroll along Woryeonggyo Bridge and the Woryeong Park walking trail, enjoying the fresh air and stretching our legs.

Under the dark night sky, the sparkling lights of Woryeonggyo Bridge were truly breathtaking.

We were fortunate to catch the 8 PM fountain show during our visit in late September 2025. While the fountain isn't operating during the colder months, if you're planning a trip anytime from April through October 2026, I highly recommend timing your visit to enjoy the dazzling lights and fountain display!

Center of Woryeonggyo Bridge

Standing at the entrance and framing Woryeongjeong Pavilion in the background creates a classic, iconic shot. Just be aware that when it's crowded, other visitors might appear in your photos.

Left Deck Path

As you walk across the bridge, you'll find a small deck path branching off to the left. The angle from here, looking back at Woryeongjeong Pavilion, also makes for some really beautiful shots.

Woryeong Park Walking Trail

For a different perspective, step off the bridge and find a spot along the Woryeong Park walking trail. Capturing the entire Woryeonggyo Bridge as your background creates a stunning effect.

During Fountain Operating Times

Striking a pose as if you're "catching" the illuminated fountain makes for a fantastic photo, no special photography skills required! I even got a lovely shot of my mom using this angle.

For parking, I recommend trying the Woryeonggyo Public Parking Lot first. If it's full, you can check the Woryeong Park Entrance parking area.

Woryeonggyo Bridge and the beautiful Woryeong Park walking trail — Woryeonggyo Bridge is wonderful, but the Woryeong Park walking trail was equally delightful!

We spent about an hour strolling around Woryeonggyo Bridge and its surroundings, which felt like the perfect amount of time for a relaxing walk.

There are also many restaurants and cafes near Woryeonggyo Bridge, so grabbing dinner here could be a very efficient option for your itinerary.

Although we didn't get to try it ourselves, the famous "Dalppang" (Moon Bread) is said to be popular around here. If you're looking for a unique snack, it might be worth considering!
