When you're looking for a place to stay in Almaty, the biggest questions on your mind are usually
location and safety.
Almaty is surprisingly massive, and the vibe changes completely depending on the neighborhood,
so first-time visitors often find themselves feeling a bit lost on where to book.
I spent ages scrolling through hotel listings while planning my trip, but the absolute gem I eventually found was
a brand-new apartment just a 3-minute walk from Mega Park.
01. Why I Recommend This Almaty Accommodation
There are four main reasons why I chose this apartment
over a traditional hotel in Almaty.
✔ A 3-Minute Walk to Mega Park
Mega Park, one of Almaty’s largest and most popular shopping malls, is just a 3-minute walk away!
Not only is it perfect for shopping, but it also has a massive supermarket, endless dining spots, and cafes, making your daily travel logistics incredibly easy.
✔ Vibrant Street-front Shops + K-Convenience Store + 24-Hour Supermarket
Since the apartment complex is lined with plenty of street-level shops, there’s always a lively buzz with lots of people around, day and night.
This keeps the area super safe, and there's even a Korean convenience store right in front of the building,
meaning you can easily stock up on your favorite Korean snacks and ramen.
✔ Brand-New Apartment Complex
Because the building is a brand-new development,
the elevators, lobby, and hallways are absolutely pristine and well-maintained.
You can enjoy a clean, refreshing stay without worrying about old, run-down facilities.
✔ Contactless Self Check-In & Check-Out
With a convenient contactless check-in and check-out system,
arriving late at night is absolutely no problem at all.

Even at 10 PM, the street-front shops are brightly lit and lively,
so you don't have to worry about safety for a single second.

This is inside the residential complex courtyard, and you can see how nicely the amenities are laid out!

The **inner courtyard** is beautifully designed,
and you need to **enter a security passcode to access the complex gates**,
which gives you complete peace of mind when it comes to safety!
02. Price Comparison of Almaty Accommodations
Even within the same apartment complex, **prices and layouts vary significantly from unit to unit**.

I narrowed my options down to two rooms that I liked most and debated on until the very last minute.
Here is a quick breakdown to help you compare.

When I compared prices for properties in the exact same condition,
Trip.com was around ~$51, while Agoda was in the ~$45 range,
so I found the more budget-friendly option for you!
Trip.com | Agoda |
~$52 | ~$45 |
(※ If you adjust your travel dates, you can even find rates down to the ~$38 range,
so make sure to check your travel dates first!)

All the essentials you could possibly need are fully provided,
and with a smooth-running washing machine and a drying rack,
I did laundry as much as I wanted throughout my stay.
Honestly, I really wanted to stay in the Premium Room,
but that specific room was fully booked for my dates,
so unfortunately, I had to go with the Standard Room—which was still great!
Just a heads-up, this place gets booked up fast,
so make sure to check availability for your travel dates in advance!

03. Room Layout & Interior Review

Since it's an apartment-style stay, the layout is a bit different from a standard hotel.
When you take the elevator up, you’ll see a hallway like this.
Maybe because it's a brand-new building,
but the elevator, hallway, and every single corner was spotless.

Walking into the living area, there was a cozy double bed and a spacious closet.
The A/C and heating worked perfectly, and
with the drying rack, I was able to do my laundry every single day.
After returning from tours on the outskirts of Almaty,
your clothes are bound to get dusty and dirty.
But being able to wash them immediately
made my stay so much more comfortable.

The bathroom came with both a washing machine and a hairdryer,
and it was so clean it literally sparkled.
Also, there's a full-length mirror right by the entrance for a quick outfit check before heading out,
and the entryway closet was so spacious that I stored my suitcases there after unpacking.

The apartment is super close to Mega Park, which is perfect for picking up Almaty souvenirs.
It was so convenient to drop off heavy shopping bags right away,
and since there's a Carrefour supermarket inside, it’s a huge plus for those who prefer to cook.

Plus, the local K-Mart had
tteokbokki, triangle gimbap, Hangang-style instant ramen, and even a "Life Four Cuts" photo booth!
With a CU convenience store nearby too, you won't have to worry about missing Korean food at all!
If you're looking for the perfect stay in Almaty,
make sure to check the available dates to fit your itinerary first!
