What to Bring to Ak-Suu Hot Springs
Swimsuit or Rash Guard
Toiletries
Skincare Products
We packed our essentials for Ak-Suu Hot Springs beforehand at our accommodation.
Since towels can be rented for a small fee at the hot springs, we only brought our basic toiletries.
We couldn't take photos inside the lockers and showers, so we've included some images from Ak-Suu Hot Springs' Instagram to give you an idea.
They also provide communal slippers in the shower area for use inside, so we didn't bother bringing our own.
💡Traveler's Tip:
You'll need to store everything, including your shoes, in the lockers. The lockers are primarily hanger-style with no separate compartments, so we highly recommend bringing as little luggage as possible to keep things tidy!
03. Our Ak-Suu Hot Springs Review

This was our last photo of Ak-Suu Hot Springs before stepping into the pools. 🙄
While you *can* bring your phone inside the bathing area, we chose to fully immerse ourselves in the experience and left ours securely in the locker.

The indoor bathing area is divided into four distinct pools,
each with a different temperature. This means you can easily find a pool that suits your preference!
Be warned, the hottest pool among Karakol's hot springs was so piping hot it made our skin quite red!
If you're not a fan of extreme heat, proceed with caution when entering the warmest options.
After a relaxing soak, you can descend a few steps to dip into the nearby river – a thrilling option for the brave!
We skipped it, as it looked a bit too chilly for us.
Since we visited in the fall, the crisp autumn air paired with the warm water and vibrant fall foliage made for an incredibly blissful outdoor hot spring experience.
💡Traveler's Tip:
Internet connectivity at Ak-Suu Hot Springs can be spotty. When you're ready to leave, we recommend moving around to find a reliable signal before calling a Yandex Taxi.
If you're struggling to get a signal, the friendly owner often comes by to offer help with Wi-Fi – a true testament to Kyrgyz hospitality!
