Air Macau Review 2026: In-Flight Experience & Booking Deals
Considering Air Macau for your 2026 Hong Kong or Macau trip? This review covers booking deals, comfy seats, and included meals. A smart, value-packed choice!
Hello, this is Haong!
I recently traveled to Hong Kong and Macau.
After reading many reviews, I chose my airline,
Air Macau, for my trip.
I'll share why I flew with Air Macau,
details about the in-flight meals, seating, and how to get discounts,
and a full review.
1. Why I Chose Air Macau
First and foremost, I was able to book it at the lowest price.
You can also find the best deals on Trip.com,
so I recommend checking out the link below!
Trip.com is currently running various flight discount events and promotions,
so I highly recommend checking it out for the lowest prices
to make your trip more affordable!

I recently checked again, and you can still travel to Macau for around ~$146!
What's more, even if you fly to Macau, you can easily take a ferry
to Hong Kong and explore both destinations comfortably.
I highly recommend visiting in November or December, which are the best months
for traveling to Hong Kong and Macau.

Also, unlike other low-cost carriers, Air Macau
allows for checked baggage up to 25kg
and even provides in-flight meals, which I really appreciated.
Getting an in-flight meal for the same price
and being able to check 25kg of luggage for free
was a huge bonus!
2. Seating and Amenities

Air Macau had no delays and
departed right on time, which was fantastic!

First to board Air Macau, woohoo! 😄

Air Macau has a 3-3 seating configuration, and

the seat pitch was also quite generous
compared to other low-cost airlines.

Up front, there's Business Class,

and after that, it's standard Economy Class with a 3-3 configuration.

Upon boarding, I found a cushion and blanket
already waiting at my seat.
As someone who gets cold easily, this was a lifesaver! 😉

My friend and I were assigned seats
in the spacious emergency exit row,
so we could stretch out our legs comfortably.
After a quick safety briefing,
we stowed our bags and settled into our seats.

The flight from Korea to Macau takes about 4 hours,
but the seats were surprisingly comfortable and plush,
allowing me to get some sweet sleep during the journey!

In addition to the blanket and cushion,

comfortable slippers were provided,
so I immediately swapped into them to prevent my feet from swelling.

The quality was better than I expected, so I even briefly considered taking it to the hotel, haha!

And water + Hong Kong cookies were also provided.

The water bottle was also adorably sized, which was great because when you travel in Hong Kong/Macau later, you definitely have to buy water, but I could carry this bottle around and quench my thirst whenever needed.

The cookies provided by Air Macau are...

There are these three kinds.

They come in different flavors, but personally, I'm not a big fan of dry, crumbly cookies, so I passed on them, haha!
(Still, they're quite edible, so if you like cookies, be sure to try them! ㅎㅎ)

It also stated that Wi-Fi was available, and I assumed it meant it was available for a fee.
I haven't actually used it, so if you plan on using Wi-Fi during your flight, please check with a flight attendant.
3. Recommended Seats
Although the seats are generally spacious, for men over 180cm (approximately 5'11") or those with a larger build, I recommend choosing an emergency exit row seat.
They're incredibly roomy, so much so that I could stretch my legs out fully without touching the seat in front, which was absolutely fantastic!
For those who need to use the restroom frequently, I also suggest sitting in the very back.
More people than you'd expect tend to go to the restroom after the in-flight meal, leading to long waits. So, if you're someone who uses the restroom often, I really recommend sitting closer to it, haha!
4. In-flight Meal Review

Honestly, I didn't even know there would be an in-flight meal, but it was great to be able to have one and fill up.
I hadn't eaten anything since morning and came straight to the airport feeling hungry, so it was wonderful to simply settle lunch with the in-flight meal, haha!

Air Macau is the best, haha!
You could choose between Jeyuk (spicy stir-fried pork) and stir-fried noodles.
About 80% of the Korean passengers chose Jeyuk.

I also chose Jeyuk, and it was exactly the familiar, predictable taste we all know.

It was a zero-fail menu item!
Plus, it came with kimchi, salad, canned pineapple, and a drink.

I could enjoy a satisfying meal without any fuss.
The taste was decent too, so I ate it very contentedly and then took a good nap.

Since I'm Korean, I definitely prefer rice over noodles, haha!
Anyway, I knew I'd be eating plenty of Wonton Noodles in Hong Kong and Macau, so I opted for Jeyuk for my in-flight meal.
Personally, if you think you might crave rice, I recommend rice over noodles, haha!

I used Air Macau again for my return trip too.

There were no delays whatsoever; we departed right on time.

Checking in was also a breeze.

Even my bursting-at-the-seams suitcase
was fine with the generous checked baggage allowance provided by Air Macau,
so I was able to fly without any extra fees!

Similarly, on the return flight,
I ordered the chicken curry rice for my in-flight meal,

and it was perfectly good and I enjoyed it!
Personally, I recommend the rice-based meals on board, haha!
I saw the noodle dishes looked quite greasy,
and maybe it's because I ate so much in Hong Kong and Macao,
but they just didn't appeal to me, haha!
If I had to choose between a low-cost carrier vs. Air Macau,
given their generous baggage allowance
and complimentary in-flight meals, I'd definitely choose Air Macau again, haha!
Even the landing was smooth, without any major issues,
making it a truly comfortable flight, haha!
