Written & Photographed by ©Hi_Bubu
Whenever you travel to a massive metropolis like Osaka, Japan,
I highly recommend visiting
an observatory in the heart of the city in the evening.
There is something truly magical about Japan's cityscapes at night—
the twinkling lights stretching all the way to the horizon are incredibly romantic.
But as you plan your trip to Osaka,
you'll quickly realize there are so many observatories in the city
that it can be tough to decide which one to visit.
Today, I'm here to share my review of the absolute best Osaka observatory for night views:
Harukas 300 (Abeno Harukas)!
First up, let's look at the admission tickets and operating info
for the Harukas 300 Observatory.

📌 Harukas 300 Operating Info |
Hours: 09:00 - 22:00 Open: Year-round (No holidays) Adult Ticket (18+): 2,000 yen Youth Ticket (12-17): 1,200 yen Child Ticket (6-11): 700 yen Toddler Ticket (4-5): 500 yen |
The Harukas 300 Observatory is located on the 60th floor
of the Abeno Harukas building, right in the heart of the city.
The observatory is open daily from 9:00 AM
to 10:00 PM, with no closing days.

As the tallest observatory in Osaka, Harukas 300
stands as the third tallest observation deck in Japan,
ranking right after Tokyo Skytree and Tokyo Tower.
So, if you want the most breathtaking, unobstructed panoramic night view in Osaka,
▶️ Harukas 300 is the ultimate choice.
📍 The adult ticket is priced at 2,000 yen,
with discounted rates for younger visitors,
and free admission for kids under 4.
For reference, buying tickets on-site costs 2,000 yen,
which is about ~$12.
💡 But if you book your tickets using the link below, you can get a 10% discount
and enjoy it for around ~$11.

Next, let's go over how to get up to the Harukas 300 Observatory
and how to exchange your voucher for physical tickets.

Once you get off at Tennoji Subway Station,
simply follow the signs pointing towards Abeno Harukas or Harukas 300.
Keep walking, and you'll find the building entrance
just like the one in the photo.

Head inside the building and take the elevator
up to the 16th floor first.

When you get off the elevator, blue markings
show you the way to the Harukas 300 Observatory.

If you follow them straight ahead, you'll find the ticket counter,
so you won't have any trouble finding it.

We used our Kansai Joy Pass,
and after scanning the QR code at the counter, we received
these Harukas 300 entry tickets.
Maybe because we visited about an hour before closing,
there was absolutely no wait line at all.

After exchanging your tickets, head inside
to board the elevator heading up to the observatory.
Once you reach the 60th floor, you've finally arrived!

At the time of my visit, the 60th-floor observatory
was hosting a collaboration with Gundam, so
there were plenty of related exhibits and cool photo spots.
It was decorated so well that it's definitely
worth making a special trip to see if you're a fan.

Also, one of the best highlights of the Harukas 300 night view
is the stunning 360-degree panoramic view.
The dazzling nightscape created by the streets and buildings
was incredibly romantic. It was truly breathtaking to see it
stretch endlessly to the horizon with absolutely nothing in the way.

Another fun detail was spotting the mini
Tsutenkaku Tower, as seen in the third night view photo.
Tsutenkaku is actually quite a tall landmark, but from Harukas 300,
it looked like a cute little toy building, which was so amusing!

There are sofas and chairs set up in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows,
making it a perfect spot to sit back and soak in the night views.
There's also a cozy little café, so you can order drinks
or a cocktail to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere.

If you take the escalator from the 60th floor,
you can head down one level.
You'll find a souvenir shop and some light dining options here too.

At the souvenir shop, you'll find all kinds of cute Harukas-themed merchandise,
including the observatory's mascot and magnets.
The mascot plushie was so adorable,
I was seriously tempted to bring one home!

In addition to the souvenirs, there were photo booths (similar to Korean "Life Four Cuts")
and another spot to enjoy the night view just like on the 60th floor,
making it so easy to lose track of time on the 59th floor.

Today, I shared my guide on how to get into the Abeno Harukas 300 Observatory
along with my personal review of the stunning night views.
As the tallest observatory in Osaka,
it's the perfect place to soak in unobstructed panoramic views,
and it's also an incredibly romantic spot where you can watch
the endless sea of city lights stretch out to the horizon.
So, whether you're visiting with your partner or family,
it's guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience.
❗️ Quick tip! As mentioned earlier, booking your tickets in advance
can save you about 10% compared to buying them on-site.
Also, ✅ using a travel pass like the Kansai Joy Pass
is an even better way to visit on a budget, so keep that in mind!
I hope this guide helps you have
the most magical and romantic time at Harukas 300!
