Fukuoka Yufuin: Your Go-To Budget-Friendly Accommodation

As you prepare for your trip to Fukuoka Yufuin,
the biggest thing on your mind is often accommodation, isn't it?
To truly enjoy the hot springs, a ryokan is ideal, but
let's be real, the price can often be a burden, making you hesitate, right?
That's why I ended up finding
Yotsumugi, renowned as a budget-friendly gem.
There are Iyasakanoyu and Sakazukinoyu room types,
and I stayed in the Sakazukinoyu room.
To get straight to the point,
among all my choices for my Fukuoka Yufuin trip,
this was the one I was most satisfied with,
and with a private bath,
I truly had a wonderfully rejuvenating and healing experience.

This accommodation is located just
a 2-minute walk from Yufuin Station, making it
incredibly convenient for planning your Fukuoka Yufuin itinerary.
Especially when traveling with luggage,
location is incredibly important,
and since this place is a budget-friendly option close to the station,
it really minimized any stress from lugging bags around.
Plus, Yunotsubo Street is also nearby,
meaning all your food, cafe, and shopping needs can be taken care of on foot, which is a huge advantage.
If you're planning a trip to Fukuoka Yufuin,
this place is absolutely worth choosing for its location alone.

02. Sakazukinoyu: An Atmospheric Detached Stay, Crowned as a Value-for-Money Gem
The Sakazukinoyu room I stayed in
is a detached private accommodation, which is its
biggest charm.
With a spacious room layout suitable for group travel,
you can use the entire house, ensuring
complete privacy, making it perfect
for family trips too.
It can accommodate up to 8 people,
and with a combination of beds and a tatami room,
it offered a truly comfortable rest.
3 Bedrooms (Total 3 Beds, 2 Futon Sets)
2 Semi-double beds, 1 Double bed, 2 Tatami room futon sets
The biggest reason I felt it was such a great value-for-money accommodation
is that you can enjoy this level of facilities and space
at such an affordable price.
If you're pondering over accommodation for your Fukuoka Yufuin trip,
Yotsumugi is genuinely a highly recommended budget-friendly stay.
03. Yotsumugi: Fully-Equipped and Extra Comfortable
This wasn't just a simple accommodation;
it was a fully-equipped, budget-friendly spot perfect for longer stays too.
The kitchen had everything: a refrigerator, microwave, rice cooker,
and even a coffee machine.
The kitchenware was fully equipped,
so simple cooking was possible.
There was also a washing machine, so you could even do laundry during your trip,
and with a large TV to watch Netflix,
it truly felt like a comfortable home away from home.
If you're looking to prioritize comfort during your travels,
this is absolutely the place to be.
04. A Private Onsen Accommodation with Its Own Bath
The biggest reason I chose this Yufuin accommodation
was precisely its private bath.
It wasn't a shared onsen,
but rather an open-air bath you could enjoy privately within the accommodation,
meaning I could fully relax and enjoy the hot spring without any worries.
What's more, the private bath at Sakazuki no Yu was generously sized,
large enough for an entire family to use comfortably together.
The moment I submerged myself in the warm onsen water
and soaked in Yufuin's serene atmosphere
was truly the most healing part of my Fukuoka Yufuin trip.
If you're looking for a value-for-money accommodation with a private bath,
this is truly the best choice for its price.
05. Exceptional Details, Even Aesop Amenities!
I hadn't expected too much from a value-for-money accommodation,
but the attention to detail was truly impressive.
The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all
Aesop products, which made the accommodation feel even more luxurious.
Combined with the aesthetic interior and impeccable cleanliness,
it felt like more than just a budget-friendly stay – it was truly a "memorable accommodation."
If you're searching for a slightly more special place to stay,
I highly recommend Yotsumugi.
06. Super Convenient Self-Check-in Process
Check-in was a breeze with self-check-in via a smart lock.
After booking through Airbnb,
I received the smart lock password before check-in, allowing me to enter immediately without waiting for staff,
which was incredibly convenient.
The ability to use it without hassle, even with a late-night arrival itinerary,
was simply the best.

Yufuin Yotsumugi is located a 2-minute walk from Yufuin Station. A supermarket (AEON MaxValu) is a 5-minute walk away, and a convenience store is a 2-minute walk away. Kinrinko Lake is a 20-minute walk.
The Sakazuki-no-yu room can accommodate up to 8 people. It has 3 bedrooms with 2 semi-double beds and 1 double bed, plus 2 futon sets in a tatami room.
The Sakazuki-no-yu room features a private open-air bath that guests can enjoy privately within the accommodation. This private bath is spacious enough for families to use together.
Check-in at Yotsumugi is after 16:00, and check-out is at 11:00. It operates as a self-check-in system. After making an Airbnb reservation, you will receive the door lock password to enter.
