Why I Chose Hotel Monterey La Soeur Fukuoka

When looking for a place to stay,

subway accessibility, room size, and twin beds

were my top three absolute priorities.

This Fukuoka Tenjin hotel

is incredibly convenient, located just a 7-minute walk from Tenjin Station.

The Corner Twin room I stayed in offered 28m² of space,

which is exceptionally spacious for a hotel in Japan!

The first floor of the hotel is directly connected to a 7-Eleven,

and right outside, the famous Tenjin Yatai food stalls set up in the evening.

If you want to spend your Fukuoka nights enjoying local street food at the yatai,

this location is absolutely unmatched!

They have friendly, multilingual staff on-site,

making the whole process incredibly smooth and easy.

Room Layout & Amenities Review

As soon as you open the door, a spacious closet and a full-length mirror welcome you in.

There’s an inner door acting as a double entryway,

which made the room feel incredibly well-soundproofed!

Stepping further inside, the window is right ahead of you,

and there's a cozy table and chairs set up by the window—

perfect for enjoying some late-night snacks or just unwinding after a long day of exploring.

On the left, two twin beds are placed side by side,

and comfy pajamas are laid out and ready for you.

To the right, you'll find a desk and a hair dryer,

with the bathroom located just next to it.

Even with two large suitcases fully opened,

there was still plenty of room to move around comfortably.

They also provide complimentary bottled water, a small but much-appreciated touch!

Bathroom & Toiletries

The bathroom comes fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrushes, toothpaste,

body towels, combs, and even razors.

Basically every essential you could possibly need is right here.

It's a huge plus because you can pack lighter without worrying about the basics!

The only minor downside was a slightly musty smell from the shower curtain.

But other than that, the overall cleanliness and condition of the bathroom were great.
