YOLO Guesthouse Finch Toronto Review 2026: Yuna Kim's Childhood Stay
Planning a trip to Toronto? Discover YOLO Guesthouse Finch, a cozy, Korean-run spot where Olympic figure skater Yuna Kim once stayed. Enjoy easy access to downtown from Finch Station!

While preparing for my trip to Canada, I thought it would be great to experience staying in a family home in Toronto at least once. So, while searching for a Korean-run guesthouse in Toronto, I stumbled upon YOLO Guesthouse and ended up staying there for three nights!

Canada, quite different from Europe, is located in a residential area that felt just like something out of a movie.
The reasons I chose Toronto's YOLO Korean-run Guesthouse were that it's located at the starting point of Finch Station's Line 2, making the commute to downtown Toronto not too far, and the accommodation fees were quite reasonable. That's how I ended up picking Toronto's YOLO Korean-run Guesthouse.

YOLO Guesthouse is divided into two branches, No. 1 and No. 2. Branch No. 1 is conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from Finch Station, making it super easy to take the subway downtown.
The Finch branch even has a room where figure skater Yuna Kim stayed during her childhood, and there are photos of her with the guesthouse owner!
Wanting to soak up some of Yuna Kim's good energy might just be one of the reasons I chose this place.

Near the entrance, there's a picture of figure skater Yuna Kim with the owner's mother, and it mentions that Yuna Kim stayed here happily during her early days as an athlete.
While the owner's mother is still around, it seems her son is actually managing the place now.

YOLO Guesthouse 1st Floor Common Living Room

Toronto, Canada's YOLO Guesthouse also has a common living room, so if there's anything you want to watch on a big TV, feel free to use this space!
However, watching something at the outdoor cinema seemed to offer a bigger screen and better sound.
What's more, YOLO Guesthouse allows for long-term stays, so many guests choose to stay for extended periods! :D
YOLO Guesthouse Common Kitchen

In the common kitchen, you can enjoy simple breakfast items like cereal and toast, but you're also welcome to eat other food.
You're welcome to order delivery or bring in takeout food,
just remember that washing up is your responsibility!
Since these are shared spaces and other guests use them too,
everyone naturally cleans up after themselves after eating :D

There are some simple snacks like bananas and cookies laid out for guests to enjoy,
but some are for long-term guests and others for short-term guests,
so make sure to distinguish between them before you grab a snack
(They are clearly marked, though!)
Outdoor Cinema & Campfire Area

They've created a cozy little cinema house in the backyard,
and right next to it, there's a space for bonfires,
so you can enjoy a lovely campfire with other guests.
The outdoor cinema is open for all guests to use,
and it can also double as a fun play area.

While I mentioned the outdoor space has a campfire area,
I truly felt this Korean guesthouse in Toronto was incredibly well-decorated and thought-out.
It just felt like a wonderfully charming home :D
And when I visited, it was such a perfect time
to travel around Canada!
2nd Floor: Toronto Room

YOLO Guesthouse, this Korean guesthouse in Toronto, offers a good variety of rooms,
and I really appreciated being able to see them and choose the one that suited us best.
Each room has a slightly different layout, but
since I was traveling with relatives, I booked the Toronto Room,
which includes a private bathroom.

They mentioned that the Toronto Room was where figure skater Kim Yuna once stayed,
which was certainly one reason for choosing it. But primarily, I chose it
because it had an attached bathroom.
The Toronto Room can accommodate up to four people,
so it was perfect for our group of four :D

The room was more spacious than I expected, and having a private bathroom
was definitely the deciding factor for me. It had two large beds, a fan, a TV – everything we needed!
With all that in mind, if you're traveling as a family,
this place offers a good stay for a decent price, especially with kids,
and it's in a lovely neighborhood too.

I stayed here on June 24, 2026, right during a World Cup match,
and I used the TV's mirroring function to watch and cheer for the Korean team.
Hmm... I ended up turning it off midway.
I'm sure you all know what I mean, right? 😉

The walking paths around this Korean guesthouse in Toronto, Canada, are really well-maintained,
making it perfect for a leisurely stroll. The neighborhood itself is quiet,
and I found the area to be surprisingly safe with lovely weather during my stay.
If you're looking for a Korean guesthouse in Toronto, Canada,
I highly recommend considering YOLO Guesthouse, which offers fantastic value.
It's definitely worth checking out!
At YOLO Guesthouse, breakfast is complimentary.
Lunch and dinner are available for an additional charge if you request them one day in advance.
You can enjoy Korean food here, so it's a great tip to keep in mind! :D
(Just a heads-up, the Korean food is prepared by our wonderful 'auntie', so
the menu might be a delightful surprise each time!)
