rather than rushing around, I wanted to spend my final moments relaxed.
With that in mind, I decided to visit the CAA Theatre located in downtown Toronto
to enjoy the & Juliet musical playing there.
It was a truly delightful experience!

The CAA Theatre is located right in the heart of downtown Toronto,
not far from the iconic CN Tower.
So, you can imagine it’s pretty easy to find!
The & Juliet musical in Canada was only running until June '26,
so it was perfect that my travel dates aligned with its run!
There are quite a few CAA Theatres even within downtown Toronto,
so it's a good idea to double-check the exact location before you go.
When I arrived at the theater, a massive & Juliet poster greeted me,
and even though it was a weekday, the place was absolutely packed!
The & Juliet musical originally premiered on Broadway in the US,
and I was thrilled that it was also running in Canada!
& Juliet features many well-known songs,
making it easy to follow the story through the music, even if you don't catch every English word.
The & Juliet musical is a 'what if' story, imagining "What if Juliet hadn't died?"
It's like a sequel, exploring what happens next.
Unlike Korean musical theaters, Canadian ones seem to have a longer waiting time before seating,
and there isn't a separate, comfortable waiting area.
Because of this, many people crowd around the entrance,
making it feel quite chaotic.
Also, right at the entrance, they were selling & Juliet musical merchandise
and drinks.
While the & Juliet musical merchandise was more diverse than I expected,
it felt a bit different from Korean merchandise, and honestly, nothing really caught my eye.
Plus, I visited when prices in Canada were quite high,
so I decided not to buy any & Juliet merchandise.
While looking for the restroom at the CAA Theatre,
I ended up on the first basement level, which felt like a spacious plaza.
It had a waiting area and a counter where you could buy snacks like popcorn and drinks.
This theater sold popcorn,
and you were allowed to eat it while watching the & Juliet musical – a big plus!
Also, on the first basement level, right next to the restrooms, there was a photo booth area setup.
I quickly snapped a few pictures before heading to my seat.

I'd booked about four rows back from the stage,
following many reviews that suggested seats further back offered a better view.
This day definitely felt like the most relaxed of my Canada trip,
and I even felt less tired walking around!
You know those super comfy side seats you only ever seem to spot in American dramas or movies?
Well, they're here, but boy, are they much pricier than my spot!
And I think the real magic of these seats isn't necessarily a better view from the side,
but rather the generous space between seats and the fact that no one in front will block your sight!
As the start time for Canada's ' & Juliet' musical drew near,
the audience steadily began to fill in.
Throughout the ' & Juliet' musical on my Canada trip,
there were so many hilarious moments, and the actors' performances were absolutely stellar!
And the set designs? Incredibly elaborate!
Plus, they changed so frequently, which kept things super exciting.
Watching the musical from my seat, I was pleasantly surprised by how close I felt to the stage!
Being able to see the actors' expressions, hand gestures, and even their intricate footwork up close made it an incredibly immersive and fun musical
experience.
Once the curtain call began for the ' & Juliet' musical, photos were permitted,
so I made sure to capture some shots of the amazing cast!
The lead and the narrators, in particular, were brilliant,
and there were several truly hilarious characters in ' & Juliet'!
I'd never even considered what might happen after the traditional Romeo and Juliet story,
but this musical takes such a fresh and hilarious twist on it,
making it thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish!
It definitely felt like money incredibly well spent,
and honestly, how often do you get to catch a spectacular musical while traveling abroad?
Oh, and their vocal talent? Absolutely out of this world –
they sang so incredibly well!

you definitely won't regret spending the money!
