Yihai Garden Hotel Qingdao Review 2026: City Views & Breakfast
Planning a trip to Qingdao? The 5-star Yihai Garden Hotel offers stunning city views, easy access to top attractions like MixC Mall, and the convenience of breakfast delivered right to your room. Find out why it's a top pick for travelers!

On my Qingdao trip, I stayed at
Yihai Garden Hotel,
which, along with Shangri-La Hotel, is one of the most popular choices for Koreans.
For travel in China, it's definitely most convenient and enjoyable to plan your itinerary around places popular with Koreans.

You can even watch the **May Fourth Square Laser Show** from your room!
(It was a bit hazy due to cloudy weather though... ㅠㅠ)
Location

It's located right **in the heart of the city**, just a **5-minute walk from MixC Mall and 12 minutes from May Fourth Square**.
The subway station is also close, offering excellent access to all nearby attractions.

MixC Mall is packed with a variety of fantastic restaurants, shopping spots, and cafes, which is why we ended up dining there for all three days of our trip!
It's a **5-star hotel with a really reasonable price tag**, making it one of the top choices for anyone traveling to Qingdao.
Below is the link to its location on Gaode Maps.
Superior City View Double Room

Let me give you a quick peek at the room first.
I stayed in a **Superior City View Double Room**, which came with one king-sized bed.

I mentioned it was an anniversary, and they not only assigned us a high-floor room but also prepared towel art!
So touching... ❤️

The room is furnished with a spacious sofa perfect for lounging, a table,
a bed, and a TV.

Many of you might be wondering whether to choose between a
**Garden View, City View, or Sea View** room.
I found that a 'Sea View' doesn't necessarily mean a great view of the ocean.
I opted for the **City View to get a fantastic look at the laser show**, and
despite the not-so-great weather, I could still see the sea in the distance, and
the laser show felt incredibly close – I was so happy with my choice!

The bathroom features a separate sink, shower stall, and toilet.
There's also a bathtub, though it's designed so you can't see outside.

The bathroom is as spacious as many rooms,
and true to its 5-star rating, it's impeccably clean.
It's clear why it's a popular choice for family trips or when traveling with parents.

~$130 | ~$123 |
I booked it for **~$139**, including breakfast for two,
and the **cheapest rooms are available for around ~$117**.
In China, it's usually cheaper to book through Trip.com,
so check prices for your dates and book!
Detailed Room Review

Let's dive into a more detailed review of the room!
First off, the **room was spacious**, with enough space to open two suitcases anywhere.
If I had to pick a downside, there was a table, which was fine for eating, but **a bit small for working on a laptop** – other than that, no complaints!

Bottled water, a kettle, tea, and drinks are provided, and **everything in the mini-fridge is free**, so feel free to enjoy!

Perhaps because of the notorious traffic noise in China, hotels often provide earplugs as a must-have. Thankfully, I didn't hear any car noise throughout my entire stay.

Not long after checking in, a staff member personally brought over some fresh fruit! It looked like apples and pears, and they were fresh and delicious.

The wardrobe holds bathrobes, a safe, slippers, a scale, and an umbrella. The slippers were especially thick and comfy, which I loved!

Amenities are fully stocked at the sink, in the shower booth, and by the bathtub.
The hairdryer felt like a 'Chaison' (a common term for Dyson-like Chinese brands), with strong airflow – it was great!
Delivery Service

When I tried to order delivery via Meituan, I realized I needed a Chinese phone number.
Luckily, there's a **24-hour butler service**, so when I inquired via WeChat, they temporarily provided an employee's number. And the delivery? It comes right to your room door via **robot!**
Lobby, Laundry Room

The 1st-floor lobby offers welcome drinks and
portable power banks for rent.
I also loved that the lobby had plenty of space to relax.

The laundry room is available from 7 AM until 12 AM (midnight),
and there's an iron so you can press your shirts.
It's free, and you can even use the dryer, so it was
always packed even late at night!
Breakfast

Breakfast Hours: 7:00 AM ~ 9:30 AM
Dining Location: 2nd Floor
I saw that the breakfast reviews were good, so I booked it along with my room.
It seems you can purchase it at check-in,
but it's cheaper to add it when you book your room.

While there was a truly wide variety of breakfast items,
I personally felt there weren't many options I'd actually want to eat.
It wasn't that the quality was low or the taste was bad,
but rather, there just weren't many practical things to put on my plate...

For dessert, fruits and various baked goods were available.
Overall, the taste was fine, but if I visit again,
I probably won't purchase breakfast.
From room quality and staff friendliness to overall service,
everything was generally satisfying at
the Qingdao Yihai Garden Hotel!
✔️A hotel located right in the heart of Qingdao city
✔️A 5-star hotel with a friendly price tag
✔️Highly recommended for those seeking family accommodation
