Qingdao MixC Mall Shopping Guide 2026: MINISO, Sanrio & Chiikawa

If you're looking for the ultimate shopping destination during your Qingdao trip, the MixC Mall (Wanxiangcheng) should be at the top of your list!

Among its many offerings, MINISO and the Sanrio store are absolute must-visits, boasting an incredible array of character merchandise. You'll easily spend a good chunk of time just browsing all the adorable goodies!

First things first, you'll find MINISO located on the B2 level of MixC Mall.

If you're familiar with stores like Daiso, MINISO offers a similar vibe but with a much heavier focus on character merchandise. While they do carry some daily essentials, the sheer volume of adorable character goods truly stands out!

What immediately caught my eye was the extensive Chiikawa collection! You'll find everything from Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi plushies to keychains, figures, and even blind boxes. The variety is truly impressive.

They even had a special summer series featuring Chiikawa characters in swimwear. These felt quite unique compared to what I've seen in other countries, making it even more fun to explore.

And it's not just Chiikawa! You'll discover collaborations with popular characters like Zootopia, Stitch, Disney, Monchhichi, Harry Potter, and Sanrio scattered throughout the store.

The Zootopia section, in particular, featured a wide range of plushies, figures, and blind boxes starring Nick and Judy. I have to admit, some of them had a charmingly "inspired by" feel, but they were still adorable!

Prices are generally quite reasonable, so picking up a few souvenirs won't break the bank.

I ended up buying a Sanrio collaboration blind box and two large keychains. The blind box was around ~$6, if I recall correctly.

You might be able to use discount coupons from DaZhongDianPing, but unfortunately, the Chiikawa products I bought were excluded. Many items can be excluded, so I highly recommend capturing a screenshot of the coupon's terms and conditions and translating them beforehand to avoid any surprises!

Sanrio

Sanrio Gift Gate 青岛万象城店

The official Sanrio store is conveniently located on the B1 level, at unit B112.

After browsing MINISO and Wow Beauty, it was a natural next stop to visit the Sanrio store and continue the character shopping spree!

As an official Sanrio store, it offers a much more concentrated collection of Sanrio characters compared to MINISO.

You'll find the most beloved characters like Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, and Pompompurin in abundance here!

Beyond just small keychains and plushies, they also stock practical items like pouches for your phone or cards, photo card holders, and straps. There's a great selection of accessories you can actually use in your daily life!

Even if you've seen a lot of Sanrio merchandise before, you might find some unique designs here that are exclusive to China. If you're a Sanrio fan, I definitely recommend making a stop!
