A Hotel with a Great Location for Your Tokushima Trip

During my 2-night, 3-day trip to Tokushima,
I stayed at the Washington Hotel, and
it offered great value for money and the room quality was pretty good!
I'll share my experience of the stay and breakfast!
1. Washington Hotel

It's located about a 15-minute walk
from Tokushima Station.
While it's not super close to the station, the walk to the hotel
allowed me to slowly explore Tokushima city,
and being a little removed from the bustling downtown area,
it was perfect for a quiet and relaxed stay.

The lobby was spacious and comfortable,
and there were two elevators.

There was also a station where guests could enjoy complimentary water, ice, coffee, tea, and soft drinks, among other things,
so I helped myself to a cup every morning and night!

With a variety of amenities available like toothbrushes, combs, bath bombs, cleansing oil, toner, and lotion,
it felt like a hotel where you could literally just bring yourself!
You can freely take whatever you need.

Since I was traveling alone, I booked a single room
and stayed for 2 nights and 3 days.
It was surprisingly spacious,
so I could stay comfortably without feeling cramped.
There was also plenty of space between the bed and the window
— enough to open up a 24-inch suitcase!
You'll get an even better feel for it if you watch the video.
The single room I stayed in cost around ~$28-35 per night,
while a twin room for two was about ~$62-69 per night.
The prices were incredibly reasonable!

Outside the window, I could see the relaxed cityscapes of Tokushima,
and since the buildings are low-rise, the view wasn't at all obstructed.
I even got to enjoy waking up early to watch the sunrise!

There's a shelf space right above the bed,
perfect for placing items you often use before sleeping,
like your phone or hand cream.
With an outlet and room light controls right there,
I could easily turn off the lights right from my bed before falling asleep!

There was also a desk on one side,
It was great for getting some laptop work done,
and I also enjoyed my convenience store meals right here.
The vanity mirror even had its own lighting,
which made getting ready in the morning so much easier.
Under the desk, you'll find a mini-fridge and a hairdryer.

The bathroom was compact but sparkling clean,
and it came fully stocked with shampoo, body wash, and conditioner.

Right by the door, there was a handy space for shoes
and plenty of hangers,
which was perfect for keeping my outerwear neatly organized.

On each floor, conveniently located right by the elevator,
there's a microwave,
which was fantastic for heating up any convenience store treats I picked up.
Overall, it was a perfectly comfortable hotel for my two-night stay.
2. Breakfast

The breakfast at Tokushima Washington Hotel was also quite
a delightful experience,

They offer a wonderful spread of drinks, salads, bread, and fruits,
along with rolled omelets, scrambled eggs, sausages, home-style side dishes,
and even curry, soba, and noodles! The menu is quite impressive.

And for a taste of local Tokushima specialties,
they even have sea bream rice bowls and Tokushima ramen!

I usually go light on breakfast,
but the Tokushima ramen was so incredibly delicious that I had two bowls.
And then I had curry twice too – I thought my stomach was going to burst!
Overall, it was a clean and hearty selection
of delicious options,
making the Tokushima Washington Hotel's breakfast a real win! :)

While it's true that the hotel is a bit of a walk from Tokushima Station,
which might be seen as a minor drawback,
it actually becomes a plus for anyone sensitive to noise.
✔ Excellent value for money
✔ Great selection of amenities
✔ Diverse and delicious breakfast menu
✔ Spotlessly clean rooms
Given all these fantastic benefits, I was thoroughly satisfied with my stay.
If you're on the hunt for a great value hotel in Tokushima,
I highly recommend considering the Washington Hotel Plaza!
