1. Unbeatable Public Transport Accessibility Right by Tokushima Station
When planning a trip to Tokushima, especially if you're exploring independently, location is everything. That's exactly why I chose the Daiwa Roynet Hotel Tokushima-Ekimae. It's literally just a 1-minute walk from JR Tokushima Station.
Step out of the station plaza, and you'll immediately spot the modern, gray high-rise. No getting lost here! It's so close, you just cross the street and you're there. This is a huge plus, especially if you're relying on public transport like the Tokushima airport bus, which stops right outside. Talk about convenience!

No dragging heavy luggage for miles – you'll save a lot of energy on your first day. Plus, with a Seven-Eleven convenience store directly connected to the hotel's first floor, late-night snack or drink runs are a breeze. No need to even step outside!
Upon check-in, I discovered a self-service amenity bar in the lobby. You simply pick up whatever you need – toothbrushes, toothpaste, lotions, and more. Grab only what you'll use!

With a location this perfect, it's easy to see why I'd recommend booking here! Ready to experience the convenience of Daiwa Roynet Tokushima?

2. Spacious and Comfortable Rooms
The hotel offers complimentary luggage storage for both check-in and check-out. I dropped off my bags upon arrival, grabbed lunch, and then returned for check-in – super convenient!
After receiving all the necessary information, I headed to my room.

I used my key card to enter the room. Like most Japanese business hotels, it's a compact space, but thoughtfully designed with everything you need right at your fingertips.

The white-toned bedding was immaculately clean, and I loved the built-in light switches and power outlets right by the headboard. It made charging my phone and turning off the lights from bed incredibly easy.

A kettle and cups were provided, and a note indicated that the tap water in the bathroom was safe to drink. For additional convenience, microwaves, ice makers, and vending machines are located on the 3rd and 8th floors.

The rooms are spotless, and with the 1st-floor convenience store and amenities like microwaves on the 3rd and 8th floors, it truly makes for a comfortable stay.

3. Thoughtful In-Room Amenities
As expected from a Japanese business hotel, everything you could need was provided.
First up, the mini-fridge! A helpful tip: remember to turn it on before use, as it's not always active by default.

Next, a multi-charging cable compatible with various devices! This is a lifesaver if you happen to forget your adapter or charger.

The in-room hairdryer was surprisingly powerful and worked great. With airline restrictions on carrying hair tools, having a good quality dryer provided by the hotel is a definite plus.

The bathtub wasn't too small, perfect for a relaxing soak after a day of exploring. I appreciated how well-maintained it was, with no chips or cracks.

Beyond the air purifier, I was delighted to find a dedicated trouser press mounted on the wall. These compact presses are incredibly handy for quick touch-ups, and I always appreciate having one available.

The unbeatable location right by Tokushima Station and its convenient access to the airport bus alone make this hotel worth staying at. The rooms were also immaculately clean, ensuring a completely comfortable stay.
If you're using a rental car, be aware that parking costs ~$7 per night. Also, if the hotel's lot is full, you might have to use a nearby affiliated parking facility, which can be a bit inconvenient.
For travelers like me who rely on public transportation like trains and buses, this hotel is incredibly appealing. If I return to Tokushima by train, I wouldn't hesitate to book here again.
And a crucial tip: rooms during the August Awa Odori Festival sell out incredibly fast, so if you're planning to visit then, make sure to book well in advance!
