Planning a trip to Wan Chai, Hong Kong?
Today, I'm excited to share my top 4 must-visit restaurants in Wan Chai, Hong Kong!
These are all spots I've personally paid for and loved enough to revisit!

Today, I'll be introducing some fantastic value-for-money restaurants, all costing under ~$22 per person.
Notably, two of today's recommendations are located right on Lee Tung Avenue.
It's such a picturesque street that if you're visiting Wan Chai, you absolutely have to add it to your itinerary!

1. Coosthi at Lee Tung Avenue, Wan Chai
📍 Cooshti
Lee Tung Avenue G/F, Shop G35, Wan Chai, Hong Kong

First up is Coosthi.
It's a fantastic restaurant right on Lee Tung Avenue!
This spot truly captures the hearts of many.
It offers a delightful blend of Japanese fusion and Western cuisine.
From its stylish entrance to the beautifully plated dishes, it's a feast for the senses!

Their lunch course, in particular, offers incredible value.
I also highly recommend their fruit platter for dessert.
It's hands down my favorite among all the amazing eateries on Lee Tung Avenue.

The lunch course, especially, offers unbeatable value.
The prices are wonderfully reasonable, aren't they?
The menu changes regularly, too,
and every time I've visited this Wan Chai gem, I've left completely satisfied.

From pasta to steak, every dish feels like it's crafted with genuine care and passion.
They really put their heart into the starters, especially.

There's so much joy in choosing from their diverse starter menu!
It seems the lunch course menu changes periodically, which keeps things fresh and exciting.

It's truly a wonderful spot for a date in Hong Kong.
If you're looking for a clean place with friendly service that won't break the bank, Coosthi is absolutely perfect!

I also highly recommend their fruit platter for dessert.
It truly is my top pick among the fantastic eateries on Lee Tung Avenue.

What if you order dessert à la carte instead of getting the set lunch?
You might be surprised by how generous the portions are!
You could easily order just one to share among your group.
For those planning to use public transportation, make sure to get an Octopus Card!
It's similar to Korea's T-money card and an absolute must-have for taking the bus.

2. Shang Ching at Lee Tung Avenue, Wan Chai
📍 SHANG CHING
Lee Tung St, Wan Chai, Hong Kong

Next up is Shang Ching.
This is another fantastic eatery on Lee Tung Avenue.
Their signature dish is Taiwanese beef noodle soup.

The interior is so well-done, it feels like I've briefly traveled to Taiwan!
From what I saw, Xiangqing seems to have the longest queue among all the restaurants on Lee Tung Avenue.
I also recommend visiting here for lunch.

You can't make reservations in advance, and it's so popular that you'll likely have to queue.
However, the turnover is quite quick, so it's definitely worth the wait!

Both the noodle and rice dishes were delicious.
The chicken you can order as a side dish, although small in portion, is absolutely delicious too!

Especially considering Hong Kong's prices, it was incredibly affordable.
We had the lunch set, and for two people, it came out to less than ~$36!
You order by scanning a QR code.
The menu was available in English, so it was super easy to navigate!

If you're heading to Lee Tung Avenue, you absolutely must check out Xiangqing or Cósti!
3. Burger & Lobster, Near Wan Chai MTR
📍 B&L (Burger & Lobster)
Shop 2, 1/F, Causeway Centre (Brim 28 28, Harbour Rd, Wan Chai, Hong Kong
Next up on our list is Burger & Lobster!
Just as the name suggests, it specializes in burgers and lobsters.
They offer a wide variety of dishes featuring lobster.
Everything on the menu, from salads and pasta to burgers, is absolutely delicious!

This place is especially known for its salads; I've actually revisited multiple times just for them!
Its location is Causeway Centre, right in the heart of Wan Chai!
It's super easy to find, being close to the MTR station.
If you're craving a gourmet burger while traveling in Hong Kong?
Head straight to Burger & Lobster!

While Hong Kong has many fantastic burger joints like Five Guys and Burgeroom,
I personally found the Beef & Lobster burger here to be the most delicious!
However, be aware that food can sometimes take a while to come out during busy lunch hours.

So, if you plan to visit, I recommend going around 11:30 AM, rather than after 12 PM for lunch!
And if you arrive to find many people already seated but no food served yet?
Then I'd boldly suggest giving up and trying somewhere else.
When orders pile up, delays can extend up to 30 minutes!
While it's certainly worth the wait flavor-wise, your time during a trip is precious!

Oh, and their chocolate cake dessert is absolutely delicious!
However, the bread served as an appetizer? It's really not great.
You really don't need to bother with it!
Anyway, the main courses are generous in portion, so you really don't need the appetizer bread.
4. Wan Chai Must-Try: Wakayama
📍 Wakyama 和歌山(Wan Chai Store / 灣仔店)
Shop 101-103 & 101A-103A, 1/F, Sun Hung Kai Centre, 30 Harbour Rd, Wan Chai, Hong Kong
Finally, I highly recommend Wakayama.
The restaurant's name is WAKAYAMA, but on Google Maps, you'll need to search for WAKYAMA (without one 'A') for it to appear.

It's a fantastic fusion Japanese restaurant.
Located on the 1st floor of Sun Hung Kai Centre, it's really easy to find!

Instead of just sushi or sashimi, I highly recommend their Japanese home-style dishes.
Their pasta, featuring unique fusion sauces you won't typically find in Italian restaurants, is also incredibly delicious!

True to a Japanese eatery, everything is presented immaculately and the place is spotless.
However, I have to say the chicken karaage I tried here was a bit dry.
Not recommended! But don't worry, other side dishes like their tamagoyaki (rolled omelet) and salads were absolutely delicious!

Hong Kong's Wanchai district truly is a foodie's paradise!
The four spots I've shared with you today are all delicious, clean, and highly recommended!
And the prices are excellent too, generally under ~$22 per person!
How to Pay at Hong Kong Wanchai Eateries?
Many fantastic eateries in Hong Kong don't accept credit card payments!
While most of the places I've highlighted today do accept cards,
you'll find many Wanchai restaurants that only take cash or an Octopus card.
So, it's definitely a good idea to get an Octopus card before you go!
It's similar to Korea's T-money card.
Not only is it essential for public transport, but you can also use it to pay at most restaurants and shops!
It's far more versatile than you might imagine, making it an absolute must-have for your Hong Kong adventure!
What is an Octopus Card?

It's much like Korea's T-money card, and it's an absolute essential, especially for bus rides!

I highly recommend Matsubishi Teppanyaki or The Grand Buffet, both of which are among my absolute favorite dining spots!
