1. Recommended Accommodation for Your North Sydney Trip
For those of you planning a Sydney trip ,
many of you are likely looking for accommodation with a fantastic view, right?
When I traveled to Sydney, I also fell in love with the stunning views,
and ended up staying in North Sydney accommodation.
Today, I'll share the factors I considered when choosing accommodation,
and introduce you to the View Sydney Hotel where I stayed!
First off, before I booked the View Sydney Hotel,
these were the three things I considered:
📌 Key Considerations for Choosing Accommodation in North Sydney
1. Price & Value for Money
2. Harbour Bridge View
3. Accessibility of Location
✅ First and foremost, the biggest reason I wanted to stay in North Sydney
was to get that incredible Harbour Bridge view .
With a Harbour Bridge view, based on a Saturday night stay,
✅ the price point was in the low ~$138 range ,
which was quite reasonable considering Australian prices, and that's exactly what View Sydney offered.
✅ What's more, with a train station and bus stops nearby the hotel,
accessibility was excellent.
Even taking a taxi from Sydney city center,
it's located right by the bridge,
making the taxi fare quite reasonable.
Next up, let me give you a detailed introduction to the View Sydney Hotel where I personally stayed!

View Sydney is also known as the North Sydney Harbour View
Hotel.
They're both the same hotel, so don't get confused!
Not only is there a train station near the accommodation,
but there's also a Coles supermarket, so our stay was incredibly convenient.
As a side note, this particular Coles supermarket isn't usually crowded,
so they often had popular items in stock!
When we moved to this accommodation, we had a lot of luggage,
so we took a taxi and got dropped off right in front.
The taxi fare was approximately ~$14, just so you know!
If you're bringing heavy suitcases,
I recommend pulling them up the road on the left.
The lobby had a clean and modern vibe.
There's a bar and restaurant on the first floor,
and guests even receive a coupon to enjoy a dinner special for 44 AUD !
Just a note, we didn't end up using it ourselves.
3. Harbour Bridge View King Room
View Sydney has guest rooms up to the 14th floor,
and we were assigned room 509 on the 5th floor.
The bridge view from the lobby was already so stunning,
that our expectations for the view from our room were incredibly high!
Upon entering, you pass through a short hallway,
and are immediately greeted by a full-length window and a king-size bed.
And just as I hoped, the bed was wonderfully soft and cozy, making it easy to drift off to sleep. I was really satisfied!
Luckily for us, we stayed on a day with clear weather,
so we were able to enjoy a truly picturesque and beautiful view.
I'll share more about the indoor views further down!
Beyond the super comfy bed, the room is also well-equipped with a single-seater sofa, a round table, two chairs,
a television, and an office desk .
I particularly loved that the table and chairs allowed us to enjoy
a meal right in our room while soaking in the stunning night view!
Even with all that furniture, the room felt incredibly spacious!
We had ample room to open up two large suitcases without feeling cramped.
Inside the refrigerator, you'll find a mini-bar ,
stocked with sodas, juices, beer, wine, snacks , and more.
We actually made a little mistake – we thought the water was complimentary because there was no price listed on the mini-bar menu,
so we drank it, only to realize later that it was indeed charged to our card...
The money was deducted from our card afterwards.
It was quite pricey, almost 4 AUD per bottle,
so definitely keep this in mind if you're planning to grab a bottle of water!
❗️Just a heads-up: the only complimentary beverages are the simple
tea and coffee selection located next to the kettle!
The bathroom was also wonderfully clean and spacious.
Just a little tip: make sure to draw the curtain when you're using it, as the adjacent bedroom
is visible otherwise!
You'll find body wash, shampoo, and conditioner readily available.
I'd recommend just bringing your own cleansing foam if you use it.
Additionally, you'll have access to bath towels, hand towels, and shower caps ,
so you're all set!
You'll also find handy items like hangers, extra pillows, an ironing board, and a safe
neatly tucked away in the entrance closet.
4. Harbour Bridge View
And now, for the moment you've been waiting for – the incredible Harbour Bridge view !
I truly felt so lucky that we got to experience this accommodation on such a beautifully clear day!
From the majestic bridge itself to the charming yachts gently bobbing in Lavender Bay,
and even Sydney's sleek modern buildings peeking out behind the bridge!
It was truly a scene that completely captivated us and left us utterly speechless!
What's more, Luna Park was clearly visible from our room!
It's only about a 13-minute walk away,
making it a perfect distance for a leisurely stroll and some sightseeing.
While it's fantastic for a quick evening trip to catch the night views,
if you're not keen on venturing out late,
I highly recommend going for at least a morning stroll to Luna Park!
I just couldn't give up the sunset view from our room,
so we even got dinner as takeout.
Unfortunately, it was cloudy in the evening,
so I didn't get to see a vivid sunset, but it was still beautiful enough.
Still, the night view was truly satisfying.
Compared to the incredible view, I felt it was really great value for money.
5. Overall Review
Even though you can enjoy the expansive Harbor Bridge view all day long,
✅the accommodation fee was around ~$138 on a Saturday,
so the value for money was truly satisfying.
❗️However, please note that cooking is not allowed inside the room.
✅Across from the accommodation, there's a local pub,
and fast-food restaurants and grocery stores are also nearby,
so I didn't experience any major inconveniences during my stay.
For those looking for accommodation with beautiful and romantic scenery,
I'd highly recommend staying for at least one night!
