North Sydney boasts quite a few accommodations offering stunning Harbour Bridge views at reasonable prices.
We even stayed a night at a hotel here just for that incredible view!
However, we found it a bit tricky to stumble upon great eateries nearby.
So, for anyone looking to enjoy a fantastic brunch in this neighborhood,
let me introduce you to Milsons Cafe, a delightful Vietnamese-style brunch spot!

As you might have guessed from the name, Milsons Cafe is nestled right near Milsons Point!
We actually stumbled upon it after a lovely morning stroll in the area
to grab some brunch.
It opens bright and early in the morning and closes by early afternoon, making it a perfect brunch spot.
Since it's nestled in a peaceful residential area, you'll likely spot more locals enjoying their meals than tourists!
The cafe's interior isn't huge, featuring just about four two-person tables.
While some folks choose to dine in, it seems many prefer to grab their delicious food to go!
Good news! There were also two additional two-person tables outside.
With beautiful weather and not too many people passing by,
we happily snagged an outdoor spot.
Milsons Cafe boasts a menu primarily focused on light Vietnamese delights like Banh Mi and fresh rice paper rolls.
But that's not all! They also offer a tempting array of brunch classics including croissants, salads, wraps, toast, and omelets.
Most dishes are priced between 10 and 15 AUD,
which is really quite reasonable, especially for North Sydney!
As for drinks, they have a fantastic selection to complement your meal, from coffees and matcha to strawberry matcha and classic Vietnamese coffee.
Beverages typically range from 4 to 9 AUD.
They even have tempting desserts like muffins, cookies, and cakes, perfect for pairing with your coffee.
So, it looks like a wonderful spot even if you just fancy a light coffee break!
Just a heads-up: if you're paying with a credit card like Visa or Mastercard, there's a 1.6% surcharge.
And a really important note for your travel planning: on public holidays, an additional 15% surcharge applies, so keep that in mind!

Bacon and egg wraps 12AUD

Our two dishes and two drinks arrived in just 10 minutes!
Just a heads-up, I asked for the cilantro (coriander) for the Banh Mi to be served separately.
First up were the Iced Long Black and Flat White.
The Iced Long Black tasted like a standard,
reliable iced Americano.
The Flat White, though, was definitely a winner! The milk had a wonderfully rich and nutty flavor,
making it far more delicious than any flat white I've had in Korea.
It's cheaper than an Americano and tastes amazing, so I highly recommend
trying the Flat White if you get the chance!
Next up, the pork Banh Mi arrived.
The Pork Banh Mi was generously filled with lettuce, carrot remoulade (rappe), cucumber,
fried pork, and pork crackling.
It was surprisingly substantial!
The fried pork gave it a delightful crispy texture.
Plus, with onion flakes adding to the crunch,
it was even more delicious than the Banh Mi I've had in Vietnam!
The savory, mayonnaise-based sauce also
perfectly complemented the veggies and meat.
What's more, the bread, despite looking firm, was incredibly soft –
making it absolutely perfect for brunch!
Next up was the Bacon Egg Wrap.
I ordered the Bacon Egg Wrap because I didn't want to risk a bad dish, and it delivered exactly what you'd expect –
a familiar taste you can enjoy anywhere.
With bacon, egg, and even strawberry jam inside the wrap,
it was an unbeatable combination – a real cheat code for deliciousness!
However, the portion wasn't huge,
so it might not be enough for a hungry adult man on its own.
Personally, I would have loved it if it came with a side dish like
fries or a salad.
While there were other brunch cafes in North Sydney where locals
were lining up, I really felt like coming to
Milsons Cafe was the right choice.
Being close to my accommodation, I could enjoy a peaceful and quiet
morning.
Plus, it was great to be able to enjoy both Vietnamese-style and regular brunch
options together!
If the weather is good, try sitting outside like we did and
savoring your meal while enjoying the tranquil scenery of North Sydney!
