Universal Studios Singapore (USS)
Ticket Discount Booking Comparison &
Sentosa Island Travel Itinerary

For your Sentosa Island travel itinerary, the first step is always deciding on your Universal Studios tickets! In this post, I'll compare Universal Studios Singapore ticket prices and discount methods for you.
When you're planning your Singapore trip, to snag some discounts, you usually have to compare prices across Trip.com, Klook, KKday, and MyRealTrip, right? I figured it might give you a headache right from the start, so I've done the comparison for you!
I've also put together a guide on how to get to Universal Studios Singapore from VivoCity, along with a Sentosa Island travel itinerary. Oh, and I'll tell you all about the hot new Minion Land attraction at Universal Singapore, and whether an Express Pass is really necessary.
By the way, please note that the Transformers ride will be closed for maintenance from August 23 to September 4, 2026, so keep that in mind if you're visiting during this period!

1. Universal Studios Singapore Ticket Booking Comparison

Universal Studios Singapore (USS) Tickets
While you can book tickets on the official website,
you can often get discounts by booking through platforms like
Trip.com, Klook, KKday, or MyRealTrip.
The thing is, ticket prices constantly change
depending on the date and ongoing promotions.
I've compared prices and discount benefits, reflecting the latest information,
so take a look!
Based on Peak Season
(Prices tend to drop further in September)
🎟️ | Official Website Ticket ~$76 | Notes |
[ Trip.com ] | → ~$61 | SGD 5 F&B Voucher included |
[ Klook ] | → ~$61 | For 3 adults: ~$51 For 2 adults + 1 child: ~$58 |
[ KKday ] | → ~$63 | |
Trip.com offers the lowest price.
However, the price difference isn't huge,
so Klook is also a good option.
Trip.com has the advantage of accumulating rewards
as Trip Coins,
while Klook offers additional discount codes.
The Trip.com SGD 5 F&B voucher can
even be used at the Minions restaurant
in Minion Land!!

And here I am, writing this post, but guess what?
I spent so much time contemplating and comparing where to buy that
when I tried to book on the day of, tickets were sold out!
So, I ended up buying them on-site for a much higher price!!!!
Ugh. Even if the difference seems small, like booking around ~$60,
doesn't it just feel more wasteful? Do you know that feeling???
2. Exploring Minion Land and Universal Studios Singapore

One of the main reasons I really wanted to visit
Universal Studios Singapore again this time was
none other than Minion Land.
The 5D immersive ride attraction,
Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, is the main event,
but the Minion-themed carousel, Boogie Boogie,
and the aerial spinning ride, Silly Swirly,
all three are eligible for the Express Pass.

But we're not just going to Universal Singapore
just for the rides, are we?
There are also Minions street performances and character greetings,
so if you love Minions,
you'll probably spend a good amount of time just taking photos!
With popular attractions starting from Minion Land,
if you're visiting a bit later with kids
and want to cut down on wait times,
I highly recommend getting the Express Ticket too!

If you're like me and only plan to go on a few rides,
and prefer to stroll around, take photos, and soak in the overall ambiance,
then a regular admission ticket will be enough.
Waiting in line for just two or three rides
is part of the fun of theme parks anyway, right?
Ultimately, whether to buy an Express Pass depends on your visit date
and how many rides you want to experience.
That's how you'll decide.
I visited on a weekday, so it wasn't crowded.
If you're going on a weekend or a Singapore public holiday,
then definitely buy both the admission ticket and the Express Pass!
3. How to Get to Sentosa Island & Travel Itinerary

Universal Studios Singapore (USS) is located
on Sentosa Island, specifically at Resorts World Sentosa.
What's the easiest and most convenient way
to get to Universal Singapore?
Take a taxi from your hotel to Vivocity,
then from Vivocity, take the Sentosa Express.
That's the route I recommend.
(You can also get to Vivocity from MRT HarbourFront Station.)

I'm someone who loves strolling through theme parks, enjoying good food,
and taking lots of photos. But if you want to experience more than 5 attractions,
then an Express Ticket is a must-go!
Singapore's weather is humid and hot, so you don't want to get exhausted
while waiting in line!

You can catch the monorail on the 3rd floor of Vivocity.
You can buy a separate monorail ticket,
use a contactless credit card,
or even a contactless debit card like Travelog or Travel Wallet.
For 4 Singapore Dollars, you get unlimited monorail rides!!!

Since I was already on the monorail,
I also took a stroll along Siloso Beach and Palawan Beach.
Perhaps because it was a weekday, there weren't many people,
making it perfect for enjoying a tranquil atmosphere.
However, towards the end, it started to rain a bit,
so I only caught a glimpse of Tanjong Beach from my seat on the shuttle bus.
There's a free shuttle bus that runs between Sentosa Island's three main beaches,
but it's often crowded,
making it tricky to get on. So,
even if it's not going in your exact direction, just hop on!
Since the shuttle bus continuously goes back and forth,
you have to get on it first to eventually reach your destination. Pro Tip*
