Review of The Quay Hotel Superior Double Room

**Singapore**, with its surprisingly high cost of living,
can make choosing a hotel a real dilemma.
When I was planning a family trip with my parents,
the hotel prices made me hesitate to book.
After a diligent search, I stumbled upon **The Quay Hotel**, which had a great location and an affordable price tag.
Today, I'll share all about this **hotel's advantages, price range,**
**and my personal experience staying there!**

The **Quay Hotel**, which I'm introducing today, is a **3-star hotel located near Clarke Quay**.
✅ With a **2 PM check-in and 12 PM check-out**, you get plenty of leisurely time to enjoy the hotel.
What's more, despite its excellent location in Clarke Quay,
it's **quite affordable, typically in the late ~$130s on weekdays.**
However, even for the same hotel, prices can vary slightly depending on where you book.
When I made my reservation, **Agoda offered the best price, so I booked my hotel through Agoda.**

Next, I'll share three advantages I personally experienced during my stay at The Quay Hotel.
1. Location
As you can see from the map above, The Quay Hotel is located near the riverside and is **close to Chinatown and Merlion Park.**
What's more, major Singaporean landmarks like
**Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay are just a 10-minute taxi ride away**, making its accessibility to tourist attractions a huge plus.
2. Bus Stop Accessibility
Plus, there was a **bus stop** right in front of the accommodation.
Singapore's weather can be quite hot, making you sweat
even after just a short walk.
But being able to catch a bus right outside the hotel meant we could minimize walking and stay cool from the heat.
3. Fresh Orange Juice Vending Machine
The third advantage was the **fresh orange juice vending machine.**
All over Singapore, you'll find vending machines that freshly
squeeze oranges right into your cup.
But having one of these machines right in front of The Quay Hotel meant we could grab a refreshing glass morning and night.
Especially, while the taste can vary slightly from machine to machine,
**this particular one was exceptionally sweet and delicious!**
It might not seem like much, but it was a bigger advantage than I expected!
Following up on the advantages, let me walk you through my stay at The Key Hotel,
starting with the check-in process.
The hotel lobby had a small microwave, and the hallway was filled with luggage in storage.
There was always a staff member at the counter, so I had no worries about storing my bags.
The check-in process was incredibly simple.
After presenting my passport and confirming the reservation,
I received the room key, just like in the photo.
My parents and I each used a Superior Double Room,
with two people per room.
The hallways and the exterior of the rooms had brown tones,
giving off a comfortable and warm vibe.
Stepping inside the room, I was surprised by how spacious
and clean it felt. A bed was placed in the center of the roomy space,
and the bathroom was located further inside the room.
You might be wondering about the available space in the room.
As you can see from the photos, there's ample space next to the bed
to comfortably place your luggage.
We used 20-inch small suitcases, but there was enough room to fully open
two large suitcases, like 28-inch or even 32-inch ones!
On the opposite side of the bed, all the furniture and appliances—like a desk, cabinet, and refrigerator—
were neatly arranged. They were lined up along one wall,
making movement easy and the layout incredibly tidy.
Basic coffee, tea, and a coffee pot were provided,
and uniquely, there were two electrolyte drinks in the refrigerator.
These were also complimentary, and I wondered if they were intentionally provided instead of water,
considering the hot climate of the country.
Despite being a budget-friendly hotel, the bathroom was
quite spacious and clean.
I really liked that the sink, toilet, and shower weren't all crammed together;
they were spaced out just right.
For bathroom amenities, **shampoo, body wash, and towels** were provided,
but conditioner wasn't included, so I had to bring my own.
Also, **room slippers, a disposable toothbrush set, a hairdryer,**
**a comb, and a razor** – all the basic necessities – were available.
Aside from the conditioner, nothing was lacking,
so I didn't experience any particular discomfort during my stay.
Today, I introduced you to **The Key, a value-for-money hotel**
**located near Clarke Quay in Singapore**.
With its advantageous location near Clarke Quay,
**❗️ its incredible value at around the upper ~$69 per night,**
and despite that, its surprisingly spacious rooms,
it was a personal favorite and a truly satisfying place to stay.
I initially thought it was just a cheap hotel
and only booked one night, but I found myself thinking, 'I should have stayed here longer!'
That's how great it was.
