Tickets are generally divided into two main categories: the **1-Day Ticket and the Express Pass**.
The **1-Day Ticket** is your essential entry pass to the park,

I visited **Universal Studios Singapore last year on a Sunday in August**.
On that day, I opted for just the regular admission ticket and didn't use an Express Pass.
So, how was it? Let me share my experience with you!
While Universal Studios Singapore might be the smallest Universal Studios in the world,
I'd heard that wait times for popular attractions could still get pretty long.
That's why we decided to arrive a bit early, around 9:35 AM, for the park's opening.
There were hardly any people in front of us, maybe only 30-40, and entry began promptly at 9:45 AM.
First, I headed straight for the Transformers attraction, and guess what? There wasn't a single person waiting in line! This is usually an attraction with quite a wait, but being able to ride it immediately saved us so much time.
It had actually been raining quite a lot since the morning that day. After getting off Transformers, the rain picked up even more, so we hopped on The Mummy attraction right next door.
Similarly, there was almost no line, so we only waited about 5 minutes and could get on right away. This is also an attraction that typically has a wait of 20-30 minutes or more, but by doing an 'open run' (arriving right at opening), it was amazing to ride without any waiting.
Next, we moved over to the Jurassic World themed area. By this point, more people had started to fill the studio, so there was a bit of a wait for attractions.
We waited about 25 minutes to ride an attraction called the Canopy Flyer. It wasn't too fast, and it felt like we were flying through the sky, which made it really enjoyable!
While a 25-minute wait for an attraction isn't necessarily long, Singapore's summer weather is incredibly hot, so waiting outdoors wasn't exactly easy. I did briefly think, 'It would have been great to have an Express Pass!'
Next up, we rode the Puss in Boots' Giant Journey ride. It's not super scary, but it's a roller coaster with a little bit of thrill, and it was surprisingly fun!
We waited about 20 minutes for this one too, and since this attraction is also outdoors, the wait was a bit hot!
We rode various other attractions too, and since it was a somewhat rainy day, even though it was a Sunday, the overall wait times weren't long, staying around 20-30 minutes.
If you've read my experience so far without an Express Pass, you're probably wondering, 'So, do I really need a pass?'
Based on my visit on a Sunday in August, the wait times for most attractions were not long, staying around 20-30 minutes.
If all the attractions offered indoor waiting areas, like Transformers or The Mummy, then these wait times would honestly be perfectly manageable.
However, many attractions, like the Canopy Flyer and Puss in Boots' Giant Journey that I rode, require you to wait outdoors, and even for a short wait, it got incredibly hot.
For those who dislike waiting in the heat,
or those visiting with young children,
it might be a good idea to book an Express Pass along with your ticket.
