Woohoo! 💚
I'm excited to share a detailed review of our Universal Studios Singapore adventure, where we managed to beat the heat and have a blast, even with my very pregnant friend! If you're planning your own Singapore itinerary, make sure to check out this post for some helpful tips.

📍 Universal Studios Singapore
8 Sentosa Gateway, Singapore 098269
Universal Studios Singapore, my top recommendation for a Singapore itinerary, is a fantastic theme park located on Sentosa Island. It holds the distinction of being Southeast Asia's first Universal Studios.

The park is laid out with seven themed zones centered around a lagoon. Compared to its counterparts in Hollywood or Osaka, it's a more compact park. During off-peak seasons or if you opt for an Express Pass, you can comfortably explore the entire park in about 4 hours.

Since a half-day is generally enough to experience it all, Universal Studios Singapore is perfectly suited to be combined with other famous Singapore attractions, helping you craft an awesome Singapore travel plan! 💚

Especially if you're planning an itinerary that includes S.E.A. Aquarium (also located on Sentosa Island), here's a flawless plan: hit Universal Studios Singapore right at opening to enjoy the attractions quickly, then, as the day heats up, escape indoors to the cool S.E.A. Aquarium to marvel at the marine life. It's an absolutely perfect Singapore itinerary!
Oh! And a quick tip: buying a combo ticket for both attractions is much cheaper than purchasing them separately. So, if you're planning to visit both like I did, a combo ticket is definitely the way to go!

Ticket Types & Booking
Even though it's a smaller park compared to other Universal locations, visiting any theme park always requires a strategy, right? 🎶
Wouldn't you know it, the day my friend Aeryong and I visited... was a public holiday in Singapore! 😂 Seriously?

So, we decided to do an 'open run' – arrive right at opening, which was 10 AM, to beat the crowds and get in quickly. Just a heads-up, opening hours can change, so always double-check the official website before you go!
Even on a holiday, getting there early meant we walked right in with minimal waiting! Yay!
By the way, I bought my tickets in advance through an online platform.
| Official Site | Klook |
1-Day Ticket | SGD 83 (~$79) | ~$70 |
1-Day Ticket +SGD $10 Meal + Shopping Voucher | | ~$70 |
1-Day Ticket +SGD $20 Meal (Entry after 4 PM) | | ~$79 |

Buying through Klook not only often offers better prices than the official site, but having a QR code ready ensures quick entry. So, make sure to grab your tickets from Klook before your visit!
+TIP
Currently, Klook is running a special promotion where a combo ticket, which includes a 1-Day Ticket plus an SGD $10 meal voucher and shopping voucher, is the same price as a regular 1-Day Ticket.

If it's the same price anyway, it's definitely a smarter move to go for the option that includes the meal and shopping vouchers, even if you're not sure you'll use them!
Scanned our QR codes and we were in!

Alright, I'm here! Let's conquer this park! (Though, full disclosure, I'm a bit of a chicken when it comes to intense rides, so bear with me!)
Universal Studios Singapore Itinerary
Of course, your route should depend on your personal preferences, but honestly... since I'm a bit of a scaredy-cat and Aeryong was pregnant, our main interest was just the 'Minions,' you know?

However, for those of you who love thrills, I say head straight for the Sci-Fi City area, home to Transformers and Battlestar Galactica!

If thrill rides are your priority, make sure to turn 'right' after entering. This path will lead you sequentially through Sci-Fi City and Ancient Egypt!

Seriously, though, we arrived right at opening, and the wait for Transformers was already 40 minutes?! (Of course, we took it easy for my pregnant friend... but you all should run! LOL)

And... why wasn't this roller coaster operating? What gives?

They say this is Universal Singapore's most thrilling attraction, and I really wanted to at least see it... quite a bummer.
Alright, us 'chickens' kept walking forward.

Next up, we encountered the famous Ancient Egypt area and 'Revenge of the Mummy!'

Oh man... I seriously considered this one, but it's a roller coaster, so I chickened out! 😂 A roller coaster is way out of my league... So, with a bit of regret, I just went on the slightly less scary Treasure Hunters instead, haha! (Perfect for my thrill level, to be honest!)

After Ancient Egypt, you enter Jurassic Park – now THIS was my kind of world!
Unlike Osaka or Beijing, this one has circular boats, which made me a little dizzy, but it was still super fun! Oh, and if you're sensitive to getting wet, I highly recommend buying a poncho beforehand.

And this Canopy Flyer... it was totally my style, so it's no secret I rode it twice! LOL
Next, we arrived at 'Far Far Away,' an area themed around the 'Shrek series,' which you can only find in Singapore.

While it's special because it's unique to Singapore, for a 'jaded' adult like me, it felt a bit tame, so I just walked through. However, if you're traveling with young children, I definitely recommend taking your time to explore this area.

With the Shrek 4-D Adventure and a junior roller coaster, it's incredibly popular with kids, so don't miss it!

Speeding past Far Far Away, we finally reached 'Minion Park!'

This is a brand-new area that just opened in 2026! 💚 Ah, but as you might know, Minion Park isn't exactly packed with thrilling rides.

However, it offers plenty of fun with its gentle rides and charming merchandise shops, so don't forget to enjoy the smaller delights!

After completing a full loop around Universal Studios Singapore, I can say that while it's more compact than other Universal parks, it's still brimming with fun, from diverse attractions and adorable merchandise shops to exciting parades.

If you're planning a trip to Singapore with kids, or if you're a theme park lover like me, this is an absolute must-do! Make sure to set aside a full day to truly experience Universal Studios and the rest of Sentosa Island. 🎶
