Turkish Airlines Economy: In-Flight Meal, Seats, and Baggage
My 5-night, 6-day semi-package tour through Turkey concluded in Ankara. To make my way from Ankara to the vibrant city of Istanbul, I decided to take a domestic flight with #TurkishAirlines! ✈️

📌 Checked Baggage 📌
Turkish Airlines' standard checked baggage allowance is 33 lbs (15 kg). If you're traveling with more luggage, you'll need to purchase a ticket accordingly! I opted for the PrimeFly ticket, which includes a generous 55 lbs (25 kg) checked baggage allowance. Both ExtraFly and PrimeFly also allow for seat selection, which is a nice perk.
📌 Mileage Program 📌
Good news for frequent flyers! Turkish Airlines is a Star Alliance member airline, which means you can definitely earn miles on your flight. Don't forget to add your loyalty program number to collect those valuable points!
📌 Booking Your Flight 📌
You can purchase your flight tickets directly from the official Turkish Airlines website. While it's possible to pay in Turkish Lira, I personally used a travel wallet card to load Lira and complete my purchase. If there's no significant price difference and you don't have a specific travel card, booking through an online travel agency like Trip.com is also a great option!

I arrived with plenty of time to spare and waited for boarding to begin!

📌 Business Class 📌
The Business Class cabin featured a comfortable "2-2" seating arrangement, which looked quite spacious and inviting!

📌 Economy Class 📌
My flight was in Economy Class, which had a standard "3-3" seating arrangement.

The in-flight screen and seat pitch felt comparable to what you'd find on other major carriers. For me, the seating was perfectly comfortable, but I imagine it might be a bit snug for taller or larger passengers.

Turkish Airlines operates a vast network of both domestic and international flights within Turkey, making them a very reliable choice! (Confession: This was actually my first time flying with Turkish Airlines, so I was a little nervous at first). But once you step into any airport in Turkey, you'll quickly realize how dominant Turkish Airlines is – their planes are everywhere!

📌 Complimentary In-Flight Snack 📌
Almost immediately after takeoff, the cabin crew served an in-flight snack. It included a simple sandwich and a bottle of water. I learned that in Turkish culture, hospitality is very important, so even on short domestic flights like this, they make sure to offer a light refreshment!

Overall, it was a smooth and safe flight with no delays! I've noticed that Turkish Airlines sometimes offers more competitive prices for international flights, like from Incheon to Istanbul. After this positive experience, I'd definitely feel confident booking with them again in the future! 😙

The flight departs Ankara at 16:55 and arrives in Istanbul at 18:15, taking about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Despite the short flight time, a simple sandwich and water are provided once, reflecting Turkish hospitality.
Economy Class features a 3-3 seating arrangement. The seat pitch is similar to that of Asiana Airlines, which might be slightly uncomfortable for larger passengers.
