Toyoko Inn Izuhara Tsushima Review 2026: Twin Rooms & Breakfast

In Izuhara, Tsushima,

the hotel with the absolute best location is the Toyoko Inn.

Having actually stayed there, I found it super convenient to drop off shopping bags back at the hotel,

and then head out again easily.

Plus, all the best restaurants and izakayas were within walking distance,

making travel incredibly easy even without a rental car.

It's just a 1-minute walk to Tiara Mall, Izuhara's main shopping center,

and a 3-minute walk to Izuhara's bustling downtown area.

The location couldn't be better, which is why I booked Toyoko Inn.

From Izuhara International Terminal, it's about a 15-minute walk,

so if you have a lot of luggage or are traveling with elderly parents,

taking a taxi would be more comfortable.

However, if you're traveling light, it's definitely a walkable distance.

Accommodation Review

The place I stayed at was

the Toyoko Inn Tsushima Izuhara branch.

It's the tallest building in Izuhara city,

so it really stands out wherever you are, making it super easy to find the hotel.

Check-in is available from 3 PM.

When I arrived, a lot of people showed up right at check-in time,

so I had to wait a bit.

If you don't like waiting,

I recommend dropping off your luggage first,

exploring Tiara Mall or nearby eateries,

and then checking in once the crowd has thinned out.

Check-in is done via a self check-in machine.

Fortunately, there was a staff member fluent in Korean right next to me guiding the process,

so all I had to do was follow their instructions.

Amenities and robes are

located right behind the check-in counter.

There are disposable items like cleansing oil, facial cleanser, lotion, milk,

and razors,

so you can freely take whatever you need.

The room I booked was

Twin Room 804 on the 8th floor.

The room size was 15㎡,

with two single beds placed side-by-side.

As is typical for Japanese business hotels, it wasn't a spacious room,

but it was perfectly fine for two people staying for one night.

The bathtub, sink, and toilet were all in one compact space,

and while cozy, it was quite clean.

Basic amenities like toothbrushes, shampoo, and body wash

were also provided in the room.

For each night, two hand towels and two bath towels are provided!

Next to the bed, there was a small table and a chair.

I used it as a vanity in the morning,

and as a table for late-night snacks in the evening.

The hairdryer looked small, so I expected it to be weak,

but I was pleasantly surprised by its powerful output!

I booked a twin room for two people on a weekday,

for ~$71.

Tiara Mall is right next door, and breakfast is included,

It felt like great value for money.

Rooms here in Izuhara tend to fill up fast,

so make sure to check availability first.

Hotel Amenities

All the amenities were conveniently located on the first floor,

making them easy to use.

They even had a coffee machine and ice maker,

so I could enjoy unlimited iced Americanos – which was a lifesaver!

Tsushima doesn't have many cafes, and the ones it does have often close early,

so this was incredibly useful when I needed my caffeine fix.

There was also a microwave,

which was perfect for heating up bento boxes I bought from Tiara Mall or the supermarket

to enjoy in my room.

Washing machines and dryers were also available.

A wash cycle costs 200 JPY, and 30 minutes of drying costs 100 JPY.

Breakfast Review

Breakfast is complimentary and served from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM,

available in the lobby on the first floor.

Rice, side dishes (banchan), salad, bread, coffee, and more were all laid out,

and the coffee was available until 10:00 AM.

I went down around 7:00 AM,

and it was really crowded!

Breakfast is served buffet-style.

They even had separate to-go containers,

which was great because I could take my food up to my room and eat comfortably there.

If it's crowded like it was when I went down,

eating in your room is definitely a great option.

For side dishes, there were sausages, egg dishes, meatballs, salad, and more –

all suitable options for a morning meal.

Warm cream soup and tomato soup were also available

to enjoy.

While it might not be a lavish hotel breakfast,

considering it's a complimentary breakfast included with the stay,

it was really great value for money.

Check-out

Check-out is by 10:00 AM.

I had an early schedule for the next day,

so I checked out around 8:30 AM after breakfast.

The process was incredibly simple: I just selected check-out on the same machine I used for check-in

and inserted my key card. That was it!

Even after checking out, luggage storage was available!

If you have some time before your boat departs, just like I did,

you can leave your luggage at the hotel

and enjoy some light shopping or sightseeing. It was incredibly convenient!

While Toyoko Inn Tsushima Izuhara might not be the place for a luxurious resort stay,

its location was absolutely perfect for a shopping and foodie adventure!

With Tiara Mall, amazing restaurants, and cozy izakayas all within easy reach,

it’s fantastic for exploring without a rental car.

And for those of you who absolutely can't skip breakfast,

you'll be glad to know that since not many restaurants in Izuhara open early,

having access to the hotel breakfast was another huge plus!

If your adventure in Tsushima Izuhara revolves around a walking tour focused on incredible shopping and delicious eats, definitely keep Toyoko Inn in mind! :)
