Toyoko Inn Busan Station 1 Review
The Best Budget Hotel with Free Breakfast & Parking
Even when traveling on a tight budget,
you should never compromise on quality and cleanliness.
If you're arriving at Busan Station via the KTX train,
✔️ Arriving late at night or departing early in the morning
✔️ Want to drop off your luggage and start exploring immediately
✔️ Looking for an affordable, high-quality stay right by the station
...then Toyoko Inn Busan Station 1 hits the mark perfectly!

As a renowned global hotel chain, it guarantees a solid baseline of quality.
With spotless rooms, friendly staff, and a complimentary breakfast,
it's an absolute no-brainer if rooms are available!
Here is my honest, unsponsored review of the single room,
along with everything you need to know about breakfast, parking, and amenities.
The ultimate budget-friendly hotel near Busan Station

There are actually two Toyoko Inn properties near Busan Station.
🔸Toyoko Inn Busan Station 1: Right next to the station
🔸Toyoko Inn Busan Jungang: One bus stop away
If you're relying on public transit, always check availability at
Busan Station 1 first since it's literally steps from the KTX!

As a meticulous planner who loves getting the most bang for my buck,
I researched almost every hotel and guesthouse near Busan Station.
I immediately filtered out places that call themselves "hotels" but feel like shady motels,
and I skipped anything with a review score under 8.5!

The average price for a decent hotel near Busan Station is ~$77 to ~$115 per night.
For a quick, solo one-night stay, that felt a bit steep.
When you look for places under ~$77,
you often find "business hotels" that are essentially just rebranded motels.
While cleanliness is the main priority, the real reason I chose Toyoko Inn Busan Station 1
is the complimentary breakfast!🤤

Most budget accommodations don't offer breakfast, and hotels over ~$115 usually charge extra for it.
At around ~$54 for a single room on a Friday or Saturday night,
you get guaranteed quality + free breakfast + free parking.
There's simply no reason not to book it. It's an incredible value!

Since I only needed a place to shower and sleep, I booked the cheapest
single room without a specific view. (It does have a window, though!)
Japanese hotel chains are notoriously small, so I was pleasantly surprised.
It's actually quite comfortable for a solo traveler.
(Honestly, it felt more spacious than some studio apartments I've stayed in!)

There's enough floor space to fully open a 20-inch suitcase and still walk around.
It even features a small desk, perfect for getting some work done on a laptop
or enjoying late-night snacks.

Even though it's a single room, the bed is as wide as a double!
While the room itself exceeds expectations for a "single,"
the bathroom is undeniably compact.

You might have to be a little careful not to bump your elbows while showering! 😂
However, it has absolutely everything you need: hangers, a TV, a hairdryer, a mini-fridge,
and convenient bedside lighting. Nothing is missing.

The room was spotless, and the bedding felt incredibly fresh.
With excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water,
I already know I'll be staying here again on my next trip to Busan!
Before heading up to your room after check-in,
be sure to grab what you need from the amenity bar in the 1st-floor lobby.

✔️ One-piece pajamas
✔️ Toner / Lotion / Facial Cleanser / Cleansing Oil
✔️ Combs / Soap / Instant Coffee / Tea Bags

One of the best perks of Japanese hotel chains is that they provide almost all essential toiletries for free. It makes packing so much lighter! 👍

The biggest perk of staying at Toyoko Inn is the free breakfast.
No advance reservation is needed;
just head down to the 2nd-floor dining area during breakfast hours.
They don't even check room keys or numbers—just walk in and enjoy!

Honestly, when I heard "free breakfast,"
I expected basic toast, milk, and juice.
But the spread was surprisingly hearty!

It mostly features traditional Korean home-style dishes and side plates,
ensuring a filling start to the day.
Since it's Busan, they even had a local Busan fish cake (eomuk) station—such a great touch!

Since the hotel is practically attached to the station,
most guests arrive by train. However, my itinerary required a rental car.
I was a bit worried because the parking garage is small and operates on a first-come, first-served basis,
but there were still spots available when I arrived around 8:00 PM.

Parking is free for one car per room. Just mention it
at check-in, and they'll give you a vehicle registration form to fill out.
Free parking right next to the KTX station at this price point is honestly a steal! 🙏
By the way, while writing this, I checked the rates again...

For luggage storage, you can use the free lockers on the 1st floor.
If you have a large suitcase, just ask the reception desk and they'll give you a claim tag!

Tucked in the corner of the lobby are coin-operated washing machines
and dryers, available for just ~$2 per use.
This is incredibly useful if you're doing a longer trip, like a week-long stay in Busan.
🔸 Highly recommended for travelers arriving by KTX!
🔸 Perfect for budget travelers who refuse to compromise on cleanliness.
🔸 Excellent public transit access to Nampo-dong, Yeongdo, and Seomyeon.
🔸 A must-stay if you love starting your day with a hearty breakfast.
The complimentary breakfast at Toyoko Inn Busan Station 1 is available from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM at the breakfast corner on the 2nd floor. It consists mainly of Korean home-style dishes and side dishes, and there is also a Busan Eomuk (fish cake) corner.
Toyoko Inn Busan Station 1 offers free use of its underground parking lot, limited to one vehicle per room. Parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and you must register your car number upon check-in.
The single rooms at Toyoko Inn Busan Station 1 are comfortably spacious for one person, and there is reportedly enough room to open a 20-inch suitcase and still move around. The bed is as wide as a double bed, but the bathroom might be a bit small.
