I recently visited Tongyeong this past August!

Looking for a convenient and accessible place to stay in the city center,

I discovered the newly renovated Tongyeong Tourist Hotel.

To cut to the chase, this hotel was an absolute gem – combining excellent value,

a fantastic location, and beautiful views. I'd definitely go back!

1. Tongyeong Tourist Hotel Standard, Room 802 Review

Located in Jeongnyang-dong, Tongyeong Tourist Hotel offers incredible access to popular spots like

Dongpirang Village, Jungang Market, and Gangguan Port — all just a 5 to 10-minute walk away.

Its prime location and ample parking make it convenient whether you're exploring on foot or driving your own vehicle.

A heads-up for drivers: parking in Tongyeong can be notoriously difficult,

even paid lots fill up fast! 😭

My strong recommendation is to park your car and explore the area on foot!

Guest rooms are located from the 3rd to the 9th floor, and I was assigned a room on a higher floor,

specifically room 802.

With two elevators right outside my room, getting around was never an issue.

(There are even more elevators at the end of the corridor!)

The hotel also operates as a wedding venue, but the 4 PM check-in time is thoughtfully scheduled

to avoid overlap with wedding events, so you won't encounter any crowds.

2. Tongyeong Tourist Hotel Room Condition and Amenities

The room was well-equipped with two bathrobes, essential amenities, a mini-fridge,

toner/lotion, and plenty of towels. Both the bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean.

While hot water was readily available, the water pressure wasn't particularly strong, which is something to keep in mind.

In the evening, I enjoyed some fresh sashimi purchased from Jungang Market while watching TV.

The chair was incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax for extended periods.

The bedding was cozy and even had a subtle, pleasant scent, ensuring a very comfortable night's sleep.

The village view from my window in the morning was especially beautiful.

It made me realize that it's not always about finding an ocean view!🤍

For guests looking to stay active or do laundry, the fitness center and self-service laundry room

on the 2nd floor are open from 5 AM to midnight. The hotel also offers luggage storage,

which was super convenient for planning my activities after check-out.

Breakfast is served on the 2nd floor from 7 AM to 9 AM. It's quite affordable:

~$10 for adults if purchased on the day, or ~$7 if purchased in advance the day before. I skipped breakfast this time due to my morning plans.
