Hi, it's Yappi here!🐰
In September, my husband and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary,
with an exciting 3-night, 4-day trip to Fukuoka!🎉
This trip's theme wasn't about visiting the typical,
crowded tourist spots everyone goes to,
but rather discovering unique,
local-vibe restaurants where we could truly immerse ourselves in the authentic atmosphere!
When you think of a trip to Fukuoka, what usually comes to mind is...
'Motsunabe', right?
It's almost become a mandatory dish to try!
But if you look a little closer, Fukuoka also has a super famous...
'Teppanyaki' (iron plate cooking) culture,
where top-grade Wagyu and fresh seafood are grilled
right before your eyes!
My husband and I usually seek out Michelin-starred restaurants when we visit Sapporo or Osaka,
so for this Fukuoka trip,
instead of the usual Motsunabe,
we decided to visit 'Teppanyaki 10 Fukuoka',
which is incredibly popular for its Fukuoka-style iron plate dishes!

📍 Daimyo Street Hotspot! Exuding New York Lounge Vibes

📍 TEN TEPPANYAKI
2-chōme-6-11 Daimyō, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka, 810-0041 Japan
Teppanyaki 10 Fukuoka is located on the 2nd floor of BIOSQUARE,
super close to Tenjin Station and Daimyo Street, within easy walking distance!
These days, Daimyo and BIOSQUARE are considered truly hot spots by locals,
so you'll often hear about them!

Perhaps that's why there are often many events happening around, and the local atmosphere is incredible!

Once you go up to the 2nd floor and turn right, you'll spot the entrance.
The stained-glass entrance is incredibly ornate and stylish, so we found it right away!

The interior design also boasts a Brooklyn-style aesthetic,
with elegant gold accents, making it utterly luxurious.

Here, it's not just a dining area,
but also a dessert counter,
and a separate bar counter,

So, whether you want to enjoy just an afternoon tea set
or casually drop by for a drink,
it really felt like the perfect spot!

For anyone looking for a place with a great vibe,
I wholeheartedly recommend it! 👍👍👍

🍽️100% Kyushu Brand Wagyu! Signature Ten (10) Course Review

The menu we chose was the 9,800 JPY per person
Dinner Signature 'Ten (10) Course'!
It includes a really full lineup, starting with an appetizer, then seafood, Kyushu Wagyu steak,
garlic rice, and finally dessert.
It's genuinely substantial and satisfying.

I didn't know this, but not all wagyu
is the same Japanese beef.
At 'Teppanyaki 10 Fukuoka',
unlike other generic Wagyu you might encounter,
they exclusively use 100% top-grade 'Kyushu-bred Brand Wagyu' that is
strictly managed and raised right here in the Fukuoka and Kyushu regions.
It's proudly and clearly stated on the menu!

They showed us the actual cuts of meat before grilling,
and the intricate marbling,
superb meat quality, and vibrant crimson color
were on a completely different level from any Wagyu we'd seen before.
My husband and I were already utterly captivated even before it hit the grill!
For our Kyushu-bred Brand Wagyu,
we decided to indulge in both the sirloin and fillet cuts!
Amuse-Bouche

Sweet melon with prosciutto,
and a harmonious blend of freshly sliced raw cheese right before our eyes!

The cheese flavor was truly an art form, creating a perfect sweet and savory symphony
that instantly awakened our palates.

Crab Meat Salad

Finely shredded crab meat and salad
served with a uni (sea urchin) sauce,
The rich, fragrant taste of the ocean was utterly phenomenal, sparking a lively debate
between my husband and me throughout the entire dish! Haha!

Unable to contain our curiosity, we asked the chef,

and he showed us that it was a sauce made from Hokkaido uni –
the very essence of freshness!
Seafood Dish

It was a combination of carrot purée, corn, okra, and uni,

The carrots were so incredibly sweet, it was hard to believe!
And the wonderfully crisp texture of the okra? Simply sensational!
✅To truly savor the Teppanyaki 10 experience,
we wholeheartedly recommend reserving counter seats through 'Zam-it'!

Especially with Fukuoka Teppanyaki,
where the chef cooks right in front of your eyes,
we really felt that reserving counter seats
was genuinely the best decision we made!

We even had a little chat with the chef,
and the joy of watching the spectacular fire show performance
was absolutely delightful.

We also ordered sparkling wine,
and the chef even put on a dazzling performance
by generously pouring champagne into our glasses,
making it a feast for both our eyes and our palates, haha!
The delicious Kyushu brand wagyu steak,
grilled right before our eyes, was served juicy and medium rare!

With its glistening cross-section locking in all the juices,
and pairing it with wine salt, wasabi, and whole-grain mustard,
the rich meaty aroma and tender texture
just melted in my mouth – absolutely divine...❤️

It's clear that because it was premium Kyushu brand wagyu,
the richness of the juices was simply unparalleled!

Next, finishing off with garlic rice stir-fried with fresh garlic
and a warm miso soup,

all the richness was perfectly balanced,
completing a truly perfect course!

⭐Pro Tip for Counter Seating Reservations!⭐

premium wagyu grilled right before your eyes,

💃 Dance Performance & All-in-One Dessert Wagon

Right in the middle of our meal, the dancers unleashed an incredibly energetic
cha-cha-cha performance that completely blew us away!

I truly had no idea we'd get such a special experience at a restaurant,
but it was so exhilarating and absolutely delightful.

Once our meal was over, they rolled out a dessert wagon, and guess what?
You can literally pick every single type of dessert
from the wagon!

Being able to try everything with no limits on selection
makes it absolute paradise for any dessert lover.

When we visited in September, there was a fantastic selection of autumn-themed desserts,
and let me tell you, the chestnut roll cake was the absolute winner!
It was so much more delicious than anything we'd tasted
at a Michelin-starred spot in Sapporo that
my husband and I both gave it a double thumbs-up! 👍👍
