Hoi An Restaurant Recommendation
Tấn Phát: An Air-Conditioned Hidden Gem

Out of all the places I ate at during my recent trip to Da Nang and Hoi An,
Tấn Phát easily makes my Top 3 list for An Bang Beach restaurants.
Their signature sweet chili snapper was absolutely incredible—
the kind of flavor profile that hits all the right notes for any seafood lover.
Plus, the air conditioning is blasting, which means you can
enjoy your meal comfortably without sweating through your clothes!
As a serious foodie, I cannot recommend this place enough.
If you're looking for an authentic, off-the-beaten-path spot in Hoi An, you need to check this out :)
The Best An Bang Beach Restaurant in Hoi An
When you search for places to eat near An Bang Beach, you usually get
a list of trendy beachfront cafes rather than proper restaurants.
While those places are fine for a drink, they often feel a bit too touristy
and lack that authentic culinary punch I'm always chasing.
After some intense research, I finally discovered Tấn Phát.
It's a local favorite that's slowly starting to catch the attention of international travelers.

Since the signature chili snapper takes about 20 minutes to prepare,
I highly recommend messaging them in advance to pre-order.
I reached out in English and they were super responsive!
(I booked at 10:00 AM for a 12:00 PM lunch.)
The restaurant is located on a quiet street.
During the peak summer months (May to July), daytime temperatures in Da Nang easily soar past 90°F with intense humidity.
Trying to eat hot food without AC is a struggle, so having a solid list of air-conditioned restaurants in Hoi An is essential.

While they have outdoor seating, we didn't hesitate to head straight indoors.
The space is clean, comfortable, and retains a cozy, authentic local vibe—almost like dining in someone's welcoming home.
Best of all, the AC was wonderfully cold.
The tables are well-spaced, so even during the busy lunch rush,
you can enjoy a relaxed, uncrowded meal.
We ordered our pre-booked chili snapper and added a few more dishes off the menu.
Their signature and recommended items are clearly laid out.
Everything looked amazing! Since it was just the two of us, we couldn't order half the menu like we wanted to.
They also serve Vietnamese-style lobster, which is a must-try if you have a larger group.
With their incredible sauces, I bet it's phenomenal.
What to Order: Our Top Picks
Sweet Chili Snapper: 205,000 VND (~$8) 👍👍

The main reason we came to Tấn Phát!
I had high expectations after reading rave reviews, and it honestly blew me away.
I'm still dreaming about this dish!
You get a whole fried snapper, and the value for money is insane.
The sweet, tangy, and slightly spicy chili sauce generously poured over the top is the real star.
It's so good I'd fly back just to eat it again.
This isn't your standard street food fare, so if you're in the area,
you absolutely have to try it.
It pairs perfectly with a bowl of steamed rice—a true crowd-pleaser for all ages.
Seafood Fried Rice: 110,000 VND (~$4.50)

I initially thought the price was slightly higher than typical local spots,
but it came loaded with fresh squid and shrimp, making it totally worth it.
The rice was perfectly fluffy with just the right amount of seasoning.
Stir-Fried Morning Glory: 50,000 VND (~$2)

No matter where I go in Vietnam, Morning Glory (water spinach) is a mandatory side dish.
Sometimes it can be a bit too oily, but here it was light, savory,
and packed with a beautiful garlic aroma.
It complemented the main dishes perfectly and was great mixed with rice.

Service as Stellar as the Food
From confirming our reservation to ordering and paying, everything was seamless.
The staff even showed us the best way to eat the chili snapper,
kept our water glasses full, and genuinely cared about our dining experience.
A 100% Revisit Rate for This Hoi An Gem
Since returning from Vietnam, Tấn Phát is my number one recommendation!
Taste, atmosphere, and service—it checks every single box.
The prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and being able to enjoy an
amazing meal in a cool, air-conditioned room is a massive bonus.
✅ Families traveling together
✅ Couples and friends
✅ Travelers new to Vietnamese cuisine
I would confidently recommend this spot to anyone.
If you're looking for the best food near An Bang Beach, take my word for it and pay them a visit ♥
