As I was preparing for my free-and-easy trip to Taiwan, I've compiled a list of the most important things
you'd want to look up first!
During my Taipei trip, I personally stayed at both Just Sleep Ximending and

What's the weather like in Taiwan in August and September?
Taiwan has a humid subtropical climate, which means it's generally a bit hotter and
more humid.
Especially in August and September, along with the intense heat, you can expect frequent showers.
So, it's really a good idea to pack at least one umbrella.
Raincoats are okay, but if it's too humid, they can stick to your body,
which isn't ideal... right?

It's quite hot during the day, but indoors, the air conditioning is usually blasting.
So, if you're not a fan of strong AC, you might want to bring a light jacket or cardigan.

Just Sleep Ximending
What I was most satisfied with was its location.
It's located right in the heart of Ximending, making MRT access
incredibly convenient. At night, you can immediately dive into shopping and
explore the night market.
You can walk to most of Ximending's best restaurants and shopping streets.
So, if it's your first time visiting Taipei,
I highly recommend staying in the Ximending area.

Caesar Metro Taipei
On the other hand, for room condition, Caesar Metro Taipei was
a bit more satisfying.
The rooms were spacious, the bedding was comfortable, and the bathroom condition was also
excellent. If you're looking for a quiet place to relax,
you'll be even more satisfied here.

Both hotels tend to have significant price fluctuations during peak travel seasons.
When booking, if you apply the Klook 15% discount coupon,

A must-visit culinary gem on any Taiwan trip is, without a doubt,
Din Tai Fung.
However, during peak meal times, you'll often find yourself waiting for over an hour.

If your travel itinerary is packed, I believe the biggest advantage is definitely saving precious time.
Typically, there's a wait of over 80 minutes at Din Tai Fung, but many reviews suggest that if you book in advance via Klook, you can enter in just 20-30 minutes!

National Palace Museum
Taiwan's premier museum, where you can encounter
world-renowned artifacts.
By booking your admission tickets in advance, you can cut down on time spent purchasing tickets at the venue.
Yehliu Geopark
Taiwan's iconic natural attraction, famous for its unique mushroom rocks and the Queen's Head rock.
While you can buy tickets on-site, booking in advance ensures a much smoother and more convenient entry.
Yehliu, Shifen, Jinguashi, Jiufen (Yes-Jin-Ji) Bus Tour
If you're visiting Taiwan independently for the first time, this itinerary comes highly recommended.
You can explore Yehliu, Shifen, Jinguashi, and Jiufen all in one day, significantly reducing travel stress.
It's affordable AND convenient!
Beitou Hot Springs
A popular spot many travelers seek out for their final Taiwan itinerary.
It was wonderful to relax and unwind from travel fatigue with a hot spring bath, and the ability to book various hot spring facilities at a discounted price is another great advantage.
